Yeah in terms of battery life, it's tempting! Camera has always been hard to compare for me, as it's not as simple as comparing Megapixels :/

For strictly an LG's alternative - one would be the Nexus (basically the brother of the G4) the other would be the V10.

Going to LG Service centre to show the technician the bootloop issue of my G4.

Just out of warranty, hope they will do something on it. This is a time bomb issue and may occurs anytime.

just got back my lg g4 from service center after 2 weeks.

since its within my warranty they fixed my screen image burnt issue.

they also fixed my side dent

But sometime the phone really getting hot and warning message popping out.
If still continue to play.
The phone will reboot.
Still can continue play after reboot.

I saw a post in carousell selling a G4 that already had the motherboard replaced, until I read that some users here still get the bootloop issue after replacing it

Will be 5x, as 6P is by Huawei. Yes there are quite a few users who kena the bootloop more than once, such as me. Though if I recall correctly, got ppl say if 1st repair done after March then should be safe. My 1st repair was done in Dec.

I didn't manage to update it. I was told by LG Bridge that V20c is the latest update for my LG G4 (non-telecom set).

If my memory serves me correctly, there was a forumer in this thread who did that & got permission for a mobo replacement.

I managed to change my still functional LG G4 from 512 to 604 board. For those who are interested to change your phone's motherbaord, you can try calling LG Service Centre and request for a change. No guarantee they will be changing one though.

Ditto. I did not see any update from LG Bridge.. the OP must be using a non local G4..

damn if this is true I dont know what kind of QC did LG have in 2015, and with my parents using LG devices from 2016 I hope it doesnt suffer the same problem as last year devices else I forsee we'd probably be jumping ship back to samsung

I bought mine in nov 2015.

1) change display due to dead pixel after 2 weeks.
2) change motherboard due to bootloop.

For the past 3 LG hp device, i have not repair more than 1 time.

Gonna change to other brand for my next contract renewal.

yes, very laggy. wonder why a phone with such spec can lag until like that in a less intensive game like PG. am on MM v20c.

another visit to the LG svc centre. 4th time as a owner of a new g4 slightly past 12mths old (give it 13mths MAX as i bought it off someone who recon and sold it off).
cam when doing focusing (particularly MF and close up) will have buzzing sounds as tho the shutter broke loose and ball bearing vibration. and also with image on cam moving like seawave. i explaint to front desk and was told they can do a cam replacement n that would be the last wty repair they could honor as on paper my wty expired earlier this mth. worse part he sounded like i finding a fault to smoke them for wty repair as i didnt have enough time to replicate the problem at the desk. he also didnt really bother to find out more n only stated "cam sound when focus".
i went back to collect 1hr later and tested the cam. new one cant even get a close up image focused both in AF & MF, and the seawave problem worsen. rejected and was advised now suspeccted mobo faulty. nb!

btw i came in for lcd faulty with a line, bootloop mobo replaced, sd slot faulty mobo replaced and now this.

LATEST: confirm mobo faulty again. c b. going back to do backup and come back another day to hve the mobo replaced AGAIN for 3rd piece. btw was told mobo no stock now but have reserved 1 for me dont know izt real.

I also just went to the service center earlier today due to bootload issue, was told need to wait 1 - 2 weeks since they currently don't have spare parts
