another visit to the LG svc centre. 4th time as a owner of a new g4 slightly past 12mths old (give it 13mths MAX as i bought it off someone who recon and sold it off).
cam when doing focusing (particularly MF and close up) will have buzzing sounds as tho the shutter broke loose and ball bearing vibration. and also with image on cam moving like seawave. i explaint to front desk and was told they can do a cam replacement n that would be the last wty repair they could honor as on paper my wty expired earlier this mth. worse part he sounded like i finding a fault to smoke them for wty repair as i didnt have enough time to replicate the problem at the desk. he also didnt really bother to find out more n only stated "cam sound when focus".
i went back to collect 1hr later and tested the cam. new one cant even get a close up image focused both in AF & MF, and the seawave problem worsen. rejected and was advised now suspeccted mobo faulty. nb!

btw i came in for lcd faulty with a line, bootloop mobo replaced, sd slot faulty mobo replaced and now this.

LATEST: confirm mobo faulty again. c b. going back to do backup and come back another day to hve the mobo replaced AGAIN for 3rd piece. btw was told mobo no stock now but have reserved 1 for me dont know izt real.

Had my mobo replaced yesterday for the 3rd time all due to different fault. Was there the past 2 days and did observe still quite a plenty walking in for boot loop issues.

F**K, camera having the same issue again, close up (macro) having problem focusing, intermittent buzzing sounds with occasional "seawaves".

I think u should just spend 250+ on a xiaomi redmi note 3 and call it a day.

My friend recently bought the redmi note 3, I was amaze that it had 3gb ram, SD support, fingerprint sensor and 4000mah battery.

I mean if you replace g4 motherboard outside warranty prolly 300+? Furthermore it prolly fail on you again.

So if they want u pay to fix on ur next trip down. Just leave the g4 on the desk with them. Walk off and get a xiaomi.

you are right. that was what i recommended my friend for a vfm phone and he very happy now. i may do that too if my g4 die. except that the cam abit weak.

LG would likely honor the repair again because there's a 3mths warranty on the replaced part if it is the same cause of defect (minus physical damage).

I switched to RMN3 for $225. It is superior to the G4 in all aspects except for the camera. But for 1/4 the price, superior performance and *significantly* longer battery life, it's a no brainer.

In Pokemon Go, LG G4 has very poor frame rates. RMN3 has vastly superior fps. The difference is night and day.

I have given up on my G4 too after it keep freezing up on me and going into bootloops multiple times per day even on normal usage. Goodbye LG, Hello Nexus!

it is those v far ones.. like dragonite... no matter how i throw, the ball fall short...
I do not have the luck to meet dragonite. I think for those far type, just needs more practice. Initially Golbat was very bad but is getting better for me.

1. were you trying to use the phone while it was plugged in using certain 3rd party chargers

2. Did you have the LCD replaced (due to image retention, etc) with a new LCD

Both points applied to me and I had the ghost touch effect too, happens cos of the new LCD being very sensitive to certain chargers especially those higher than 2A.
