Have your tried doing a factory reset? Sometimes a reset will fix the battery issue.

I decided not to, hoped that I would be spared the agony of reinstalling everything.

Surprisingly, Pokemon go runs alot snappier now compared to v10f. Like really really snappier. Previously, flicking a pokeball would drop frames. Now, the animation is 80% more fluid?

Oh well, i forgot about 1 annoying behaviour of the LG phone and now I have to live with it.

Back when I did the software update search to see if there really was a v10f for SEA, i forgot that if the phone detects an update it'll keep reminding you to update

So now I keep getting 'reminders' to update to v20c

I took the plunge. Don't need to go to v20c. I just update directly to v20e via lg bridge. Seems like the fixed the issue where by photo downloaded via chrome don't show up in gallery. Now it does immediately.

Battery life seems horrible though. Idling temps around 38-40 without load.

After 2 hrs of use:

Battery life is definitely trashed. 40% drop to 8% without doing anything in 2 hrs.
If you dont mind doing me a small favour, can you check if the 'logd' system process is still the culprit of the battery drain?

'logd' wont show up as an item in the stock settings battery section, you need app like GSam battery monitor, it has a more in depth app usage tracking

if it really is stll logd at fault, thats enough for me to avoid v10f cos it proves after 6 months of effort or lack thereof, LG still dont know how to fix problems.

Logd is still there and is at the top of the app list in gsam

I previously was using v10f upgraded from v10d and the battery life was much better for me. Currently using v20c due to change of mobo due to bootloop

yea V20C is just bad

when they change motherboard they will flash whatever is the newest update at that time. For me it was v20A in early Jan, suffered 1 month of bad battery then went and got a KDZ back to lollipop.

I did try V20C briefly when it came, but the problems were all still there so i just stuck with lollipop till today

Logd is still there and is at the top of the app list in gsam

i dont think it'll ever be fixed at this rate, MM users are just doomed to have that kind of battery life on the G4

Anyone considering to purchase the v20? I waiting to see it launch and specs. But if it has a removable battery and micro SD I might go for it if my g4 gives up.

Anyone find their pokemon go super laggy after the latest update? I do agree the overheating is lesser now after update. But the lag is horrible. Surfing net is okay, other games is okay, just pokemon go. Super irritating

After updating to v20e from v20c , battery life was quite horrible, losing 1-2% per hour even when not using phone.

I backed up and did a factory reset , now battery life is much better thought still not as good as lollipop

just sent my g4 for repair today due to bootloop issues, and the guy told me my phone is rooted and hence, is out of the warranty.

i told him that the bootloop is a known issue, then he said its the last repair even though my warranty ends at late november this year. :s22::s22:

should have argued with him that my rooting doesnt cause the bootloop issue.
