I went down to LG during lunch.
Position is they sell plastic covers but not leather.

This position is consistent with what has been reported by HWZ and a few other sources.

I went there at about 5pm. Thats what i was told by the lady at the counter that their management has decided to cease the sale of all casing. Meaning they will no longer sell casings (both plastic and metallic) to customers. Would suggest that those who wants to get it to call them first. Else its a wasted trip.

I already bought the leather one from ebay as sg doesnt sell the leather colour i want. Anyway tbh if its real leather as advertised by LG $100 imo is reasonable. Samsung's faux leather flip case is already $89. Of course if $100 for plastic case is crazy.

What do you mean? I just bought one today.
LG told me they will not bring in the leather covers. Plastic in gold and metallic grey are available.

We parted with the lady saying, Take care of your leather covers. There's no replacement.

Why won't they want to make money from the leather casing? It's like one of the biggest selling point of G4, and some loaded people will probably buy a few colours to change. Funny.

IMO, a good case is more important than a screen protector. My N5, N7, M7 got no screen protector. I've got my phones thrown/flew/etc few times without any screen protector and no issue so far.

Yes but that is because you're also lucky when you dropped the phone. I've dropped it with a good case but the way the phone dropped at an angle, the glass smashed.

saw the metallic grey and brown leather display sets at SH NEX.

The metallic looks OK, but the Brown leather already show stain and scratches.
Dunno how the leather will hold up long term wise from daily usage.

But the leather do feel better when holding....

Perhaps but in my case it only takes just once for the screen to break, to decide in future to spend a few bucks to protect the screen.
