If by 'usual' android cable you mean micro-type-B then yeah of course the G4 doesnt use that because its charging port is type C.

C to C and A to C is common, FYI.

Unless your "not common" is C to B or C to
USB 3.0 (HHD cable). Which I doubt so
If do, reviewers like Erica Griffin confirm make a video about it.

Do the USB plugs of your cable look like this

If yes, then your G5 has the correct cable and you were probably not aware that the G5 has moved over to USB type C (just like upcoming phones like huawei P9 and HTC 10)


I guess with 2016 being the transition year from USB micro-B to type C for mainstream android, less informed customers are going to know what apple users felt like when lightning ports debuted.

actually the dummy doesnt have a detachable bottom. It has a line painted where the seam should be but its a 'true unibody'. Saw it when I was at M1 waterway point back then.

My G4 came from kasia and back then they already had it in stock before the official saturday launch
