Anybody's signal bar is always be on the 4th bar maximum, even though being outdoors?

I also sometime have network drop while on WIFI. Sometimes my web whatsapp on and off statess that my phone is not connected online even though im on WIFI.

And isit normal to have 4G network, but it will not download data (down arrow appearing on the signal bar) when in underground? I did not really experience it on my Galaxy S4 previously.

Could it be my SIM card, since I replaced a new sim card for the G5?
Did u have the same problems before u sexchanged your sim? If u have another working sim, u can swap out to try

For me short battery life is the biggest issue
( which can be addressed by replaceable battery). Other than that I pretty sextified. And yes the build doesn't bother me cause I use a case :). And oh yes, you should get a case as the paint over the metal body will get scratched easily :(

The phone is capable of going into extended standby when not in use, hence the battery drain is very minimal if you do not touch it. My G5 only drained less than 5% when I leave it overnight with all the notifications enabled. However, if you use the phone for social networking and content, then it will drain normally like other Android devices. For my kind of use, it drained like most other phones with similar battery capacity. I'm sure someone will design a module to expand the battery, similar to the LG CAM Plus. Then the G5 would be a solid device!

When my sim card is in the G5, the signal strength is around -85dbm to -86dbm. But in the S4, its around -91dbm to -96dbm. I wonder does the "metal unibody" plays a part in WIFI/signal strength since the S4 is mostly plastic.

Well, the reason y there is the plastic coating on the metal body was supposed to avoid antenna lines which prob resulted in less reception compared to conventional phones like the s7 with antenna lines but that being said, my G5 has 4G reception mostly. I am on m1

The G5 may avoid antenna lines on the back but if you look carefully at the metallic rim around the top and sides, there's parts of the rim that look matte in appearance (eg. around the headphone jack) that can easily be mistaken for chipped off metal, those non-metallic bits are actually the exposed part of the antenna

a plastic (the paint primer) coating around the phone shouldnt have a impact on antenna reception, otherwise other metal phones like iphone that go into plastic cases would suffer similarly

Anyone have this problem of the power button not working? The fingerprint sensor can still work. When i want to lock my phone i press the power button once and i can even hear the "click" sound but it just won't lock. It only lock after pressing a few more times.

Bro, no such problems for me but the g5 has double tap to sleep also. So you can just tap on an empty area both to sleep and wake :)

Got a unit for review currently. Absolutely love the G5 wide angle camera. It's good enough reason for landscape photo lovers to get it.

have, that's 'don't use the wide angle lens'. You should be able to tell/trigger between both camera lens on the screen

What is the problem? If its a double tap to sleep/wake issue, u can test ur touchscreen hardware by going to the dialer and key *#546368#*860#. If ur touchscreen digitizer is working fine, then its most likely a software issue where they just do a restore factory default.

If u didn't double tap in the same position, it will not wake the device either. I experienced it once or twice.
Must be precise with the touches.

My problem is that the power button is working intermittent. In order for the "key press test" to detect a press, i need to click on the power button for a few times.

http://9to5google.com/2016/07/01/lg-g5-sales-restructure/

when your phone is so underwhelming it causes some execs to be axed off

i wonder if this means the G6 will no longer pursue the modular idea (I personally wouldnt complain, since theres only like 2 modules in existence)

frankly as a G4 owner i wish they'd axed off the people who tried to downplay or ignore the bootloop problem
