For mine the gap is ok. If you put in a case. It really doesn't make a big difference. Because you can't see it. Most of the time the eyes are fixed on the screen anyway.

since is a brand new phone and whole different system and firmware, it is not advisable to transfer everything over

use the manual way to transfer like photo or music, etc

Smoothness and SoT (Screen on Time)

Actually I have been seeing people always talking about these 2 things.

But base on my experiences and testing,
what I want to share is, for

1) Smoothness - not only processor and RAM(RAM in Android not like the RAM used by PC) matters, but the system optimization is the first important factor.

2) SoT - People just tells others their SOT but never mentioned what is their own usage, settings (like data, wifi, brightness & volume level, etc), apps installed (especially whant Instant Messaging, social media apps), disabled unused apps, and other optimization。
As different people has different usage and different case

PS: Seriously, I also don't like 2k display because of fast battery drained. But for G5 it seems better.

his SOT is 7-9hrs with how much % left, he is a heavy user

Before he rooted, also around 4.5hrs SOT
Which is already not bad for a 2k display screen, and the thing is G5 is not using AMOLED
some more with 2800mAh

But not very sure his settings and optimization for others

If LG or other OEMs willing to make the resolution back to 1080p, battery life confirm can last longer! (even people knows they will not do that)

Alright, mine is actually my office got no GPS signal. it threw me to middle of the road. same issue on Huawei P9 too. so I believe is office issue

I have encountered this issue from my G2 (5.0.2)
Also only happened to Whatsapp

I was asking around but that time seems only me encountered this.

Now in G5 also got this issue?!

As previously I checked with somebody, they never face this issue

But this issue has been occurring for so many many months already, Whatsapp also got few updates

I finally bought the hi fi plus module.

(picture from the internet, i cannot take a picture of my phone for obvious reason, : ))

Tested in the office, seem only marginally better than the standard 3.5mm jack. (office very noisy and always watching out for my boss)

However, I went home and played with it at home, copied PRINCE 24BIT HIFI FILES.
Wow I was totally blown away.

The quality difference is really BIG. Quality of the files can show the true power of the Hi Fi Plus.

(used it with the G5 quad beat ear phone, will save money and buy the B&O H3 and try soon.. after pay day.)

Yeah, i have the module also. I compare with other phones like htc m8 and you can only hear the difference if you are using hi quality audio files. Also the earphones are very important. Sounds very good on my shures 215
