Look at Apple and Samsung, they both are learning
and trying to outshine one another. We are pretty sure
they won't give it a miss to learn from the designers
from the mainland China.

Samsung take a page from Xiaomi's Mi Note 3D curved glass on the phone's rear back on their Note 5 and both are executed nice and well!

Anyway this is only their 1st attempt at full metal. The G5 is their learning opportunity on what works and what doesn't. Its just a matter of how many consumers wanna be the early adopter guinea pig

consumers, then the head of design department approving
the buttons to to on the sides just because of the dual

Well, he got to be mad and has to be punished or sacked
for having that kind of mind, don't you agree?

It could be that their focus is the samsung/HTC users.. They might want to bring them over rather than focus on the small pool of LG loyalist.. Since LG are the only ones left which removable battery option.

Best if it is waterproof too else would loose out to competitor.

People talking about the A9's design and lawsuit from Apple you spin some grandmother story about hatred and human nature and dunno what... its starting to feel like too much effort to read your forum posts. I mean no offense if that's actually how you prefer to go about expressing your views but its kind of starting to look very tl;dr.

Based on apple's track record they seem to start legal battles more based on 'technical' or 'functional' aspects like patents rather than aesthetic.


Even if Apple doesnt take any legal action, its not like HTC is enjoying excellent sales for the One A9... the lack of consumer interest will hurt way more than any lawsuit. Or worse some people may think HTC is just a apple copycat and based on that alone, avoid HTC. It sounds like a very shallow and naive thing but I feel that there are people who are like that. Already some people see the G5 camera hump and are like "do not want", they dont even care about the specs...

ignore list exists as a function on this forum. i tried it and it actually works. its like the feeling you get when your PC has all its bloatware removed, can already feel the improvement when browsing on phone and dont need to scroll through walls of text

anyway does anyone get the feeling that the current hate towards the G5 camera hump sounds like the same nexus 6P camers hump 1st impressions? Eventually it seems that the 6P's hump wasnt that big a deal after all.

I also dislike the hump but i have a more technical reason: it's much harder to clip on filters or lens attachments on a camera that isnt flush with the phone, and I definitely noticed that on the G4. However when using a case, the phone becomes thicker and the hump can more or less sit flush with the case usually.

Keeping secret all the winning combinations in their sleeve
until the last moment is important as far as LG is concerned.

However if the G5 is not water resistant when the S7 is
then we will see what is going to happen unless the price
is very very competitive.

The specs should be good and better than the G4. It is
designed for users who prefer the smaller size screen.

Somewhere else in the world there's probably a sony Z3 owner who suffered the 810 overheating woes and says he'd not want to get tricked again and rather get a LG G5

I came from the Z1 compact in the past and while the battery is good, the software still has room for improvement so until they improve that (especially their god awful camera software) and not invest effort into dumb things like 4k screen, Sony is off my watch list. I'm still open to LG but am really reluctant to maintain using 5.5" screen, after 1 year, i dont feel cut out to use it one handed.

the rumours say the one in the pic is hardware camera controls and at MWC another audio-related module may be on demo.

dont know if such a thing is really that beneficial since i have no trouble personally with touchscreen controls. Furthermore it hurts the phone ergonomics so bad its hard to use the phone in portrait mode with that thing on

just wish they can improve the things that badly in need of improvement like battery life rather than coming up with all these wacky ideas... it used to be samsung that's the one who has all sorts of product ideas and they just throw them all at the market to see which one sells
