I can't change my habits

while its true that consistency over the short term is preferable to product manufacturers, i think its not surprising that eventually some stuff can and will change, and people have to adapt, like it or not.

unless you consider it so dealbreaker that for the rest of your life you can only use back-positioned volume buttons in which case the only device you can buy in the future are Zenphones

Wouldn't that mean every Magic Slot module must have a battery?

I'm also scratching my head how it would work. You are right in that if there is only one slot for battery or module, then it would appear that every module must come with a battery which is not practical.

So assuming that LG continues to offer a removable battery for the G5 (which is likely to be the case), it must logically mean that there are at least two slots? One for the replaceable battery and one for an additional module. Is that why the battery in the pic only takes up two thirds length of the width of the phone to leave space for a module to its right? It's mind boggling... lol

I think the remaining blank space ia because within the phone, that space is occupied by sim and microSD

Although CNET introduced LG mid-range phones, but the new UI is more ugly than Samsung. It also looks like it doesn't have a menu screen.

I certainly hope that Google does not dumb down Android OS to iOS levels. I certainly do not want to clutter my home screens with app icons and folders. Homescreens are meant predominately for widgets!

Having said that, as long as phone makers like Samsung and LG ignore Google and continue to incorporate an app drawer into their phones and alternate launchers like Nova do the same, I guess such stupid decisions by Google (if they come to pass) won't make much of a difference.

I know I would want an app drawer on the G5 if I were to get it!

Same here, app drawer is good. If not, v troublesome with too much clutter of useless apps. Unless they can let us uninstall those preloaded useless apps, then I will appluad for this change. Most of the time, the bloatwares takes up the junk of the app drawer. My apps are just that few...

If only they can incorporate the fingerprint sensor on the front LG logo. Putting at the back means can't on the phone when putting it on table, must pick it up.
