Can see some scratches though it's new. Maybe it's the coating thing that some are complaining about.

Check the plastic protector on the lens whether it is still there

The people at XDA removed the coating altogether with polywatch and the problem was gone too. Polywatch is sold in Singapore too. Google some of the watch shops.

Polywatch removes scratches from plastic watch like Swatches etc. It will remove the coating without damaging the glass lense.

Managed to play with an U11 (not display set), and compared it with my G6. I was kinda expecting the night shots of u11 to be miles ahead of G6. To my surprise, it is only marginally better, if you pixel peep. LG really did a good job in the software optimization. u11 has some shutter lag when taking pics in low light condition. It still can't overshadow the benefits of the wide-angled lens of G6.

Audio wise, the external speakers of u11 really good. Beats G6 hands down. For earphones, the u-sonic sound quality is very good, but might be too bassy for some. When using my own earphones via the adaptor, u11 still sound good but more on the bassy side whereas I feel that G6 has slightly better clarity. So down to personal preference. I am happy with both, but like the presence of 3.5mm jack in G6.

I wanted very much to switch to u11. But now I probably hold on to my G6. It just feels more handy and sturdy. u11 feels too fragile.

I remember the coating issues affected HTC M8 previously as well. The easy remedy during that time was to use toothpaste to rub the lens with a cotton bud. It works on my friend's m8 probably you can try it.

Jialat man, didn't know got such problems. Some even say brand new set also got stretches. Still worth getting the phone? Or just get a screen proctor for the camera?

anyone have any thoughts on this? was looking at the display set, don't seem to see any scratches on the camera lens, and the image turns out fine. thought since it is a demo set, should be more prone to damages when there are so many people playing around with the phone.

Yes, there's one by default. Yes, I removed it for glass.

This one has a flat screen, so no issues applying any protector.

The flat screen was one of the main reasons I chose g6 over the s8!
Yeah. Flat screens are hard to find these days - some have this slight curve right at the edges which makes most cheap TGSP useless - not gonna waste money on any fancy TGSP that requires UV curing and s*it.

Mine had some light scratches but it did not affect the photo image at all. But was surprised to see it as it was in the UAG case since the first day.
