Anyone able to advise at this stage, lg g6 better or v20? I'm quite disappointed that lg deviated from its norm of having removeabke battery... Or is it more worth waiting for v30
I find the excellent battery life on G6 make removable battery redundant. In any case it is water resistance vs removable battery.

Depend on which one you prefer.

Actually i cant really decide which picture is better. S8 has wider view, more saturated colors and less noise. G6 has a little bit more details as it is less aggressive in noise reduction.

Would say they more or less on par. S8 takes pics faster but g6 has a wider angle lens which is really useful.

Just curious, those who purchased the platinum or white version, did you notice alot of black bars when using apps or watching movies? Currently alot of apps and movies are not optimized for the G6 screen ratio.

I hardly see it on my black version but I did notice it.

G6 is a good buy over S8. Absolute price is very competitive vs s8.
Not to mention g6 is made in Korea.
S8 like most Samsung things is actually made in PRC but want to charge 'super premium price'. I don't think the local version of s8 is using the 835 also but rather using their own in house processor.

You don't seem to know much about Samsung phones. It's typically made in Vietnam, not PRC. And the in-house processor is heaps better than Snapdragon based on user reviews and experience (not some dumb benchmarks which do not equate to real world experience). At least research a bit before you bash k?

Thing is my phone usage is pretty intensive when I run my events... Whatsapp basically rings non-stop for 2-3 days so I barely have time to stop and charge...

Have been on G4 since it came out. Batt life was good then but have dropped like crazy since a few months back.

Hmm seems like for me, removeable battery is still best.

S8 is slightly warmer, as expected, shadow is slightly brighter.

G6 is slightly cooler.

See the guy's legs, floor, S8+ box, got diff tone.

This is why I'm still thinking if will get this device or not. It might take time before apps and games supports this screen ratio. Given only 2 phones only have that.

For movies, we can safely say 2 or 3 years more depends if this ratio succeed or not.

Kinda useless for now if your are not running native apps or movies. IMHO.

Removable battery will be a thing of the past for flagship. Grab the v20 while stock last!

People Only the G6 supports Dolby Vision HDR & HDR 10 while the S8 supports only Premium HDR which is a cert . However the S8 can only play back HDR 10 content not Dolby created content . So far I am liking Dolby Vision HDR on my new LG B6 OLED TV and found it better looking in terms of colours and dynamic range over the HDR 10 counterpart . That's why I am looking forward to LG G6 Dolby vision hdr content .
Yes I am buying it but not now yet .
