I think it's pretty decent actually even though i'm using this after using the S8. It's not going to win the S8, but it's a really good alternative that's cheaper. It's good if you like the flat display too and okay with LG UI.

covers the basics well too. water resistant, good cameras, decent battery life, nice design, etc.

I remember I saw a white display set at the M1 shop at plaza singapura basement 2. It looks quite nice and I still can't decide if I should get white or silver. Black is out for me, too smudgy.

Get it thru qoo10 or carousell and get a SIM only plan. You'll save money and won't be tied to a contract.

I read somewhere earlier that once u registered online u should have 24 months warranty. Best is call LG on Tue to verify after u reguster online.

Yah I dunno, when u pay so much for a phone u will be less willing to accept such compromises. Also s8 doesn't have dac, qc3, extended warranty, flat screen etc. G6 just presents much more value in my imo

Actually Samsung S8 has fast charging and probably charge faster than G6. S8 also has a DAC from the Qualcomm SD835. But if you are not using a good quality IEM or headphone (we are talking about $300 and higher price range), the quality improvement using the G6 dac may be limited.

i am not sure it it is faster if you charge side by side.
anyway just a bit of different doesn't really matter. the DAC is really a big deal! even if you use a average headphone, it already make a different...and that is a big gap! how to compare...

the wide angle camera, dac, well fitting in hands and the few hundreds $$ difference will already bring you to G6...

i think the clock widget on huawei or samsung is good, a bit disappointed with LG that they did not come with the default 2 dual clock view when you travel oversea...
is there a way to install those widgets from other phones??

I doubt samsung fast charge is faster than qualcomm QC 3. Is there any test to prove otherwise? And LG DAC have been getting gd reviews from users of G6. Is the earphone from AKG any good?

I just bought via qoo10 self collect at peninsula, is it normal during unboxing that there is no clear protective stickers on the phone when first opened?
Any bro/sis can give advice please.
Hope it is new set,not sure why not the same as youtube unboxing videos and whether it is local set under 2 year warranty

sounds like a used set. by right has default sp on it.
or maybe telco set they remove, check, resealed?

Samsung adaptive fast charging is equivalent to QC2.0 only, definitely charges slower than G6.
