I have also decided to get an impedance adapter. Cant stand the low gain output from this phone. Feels that it lacked power even when plugging in low impedance iems.

Cant wait for the adapter to arrive.

Fortunately the problem can be easily solve with 2 cheap Adapter Jacks solution without having to rooted the device for a changelog to get it fix .

The V20 is probably too late for LG to correct this .

If not for this trickery , there will be lots of owners with 1k+ 2k+ very high end types of iem with less than 50ohms unable to fully utilized the V20, hopefully the next V device come with a user friendly selectable gain switch .

I saw that post but apparently H990DS cant be unlocked so no point.

Oic , i was thinking maybe down the road i might want to root the v20 and apply the mod file to have it permanent set to high impedance for the sake of convenience , if you ever come across another root method which can be used on our set , let us know

1. Would the second sim be a huge drain to the battery?
2. Do I have to make concessions if I want to use 2 sims at the same time like not being able to use the storage card?

Not sure about the first qsn but for qsn 2, u have 2 dedicated standby sim card slot and a dedicated storage card slot. So there will be no compromise and can have all 3 cards in the phone

One sim card can only be 3g... another is 4g

No worries, very friendly dual sim feature. There there 3 slots in v20, 2 sim plus 1 sd. I dont think battery affected greatly by addn sim. Well, buy spare batteries for power on the go. Have a great holiday!

I kept getting (Unfortunately, Contacts had stopped)

Even though I hard reset and reset apps. The error will not go away.

Any helps?

I have a few apps doing that currently after the last update. Kindda expected it to happen sometimes. I assume you have done a factory reset since you mentioned hard reset and the issue still persists only for contacts app? How about the contacts itself, did you restore from somewhere? I would suggest to narrow it down by having a clean phone first no other apps installed then import your contacts - see if the app crashes. If not, then slowly install the rest of the apps and see which causes the issue.

Even before it started syncing, I saw the error message already after it reflash everything!

I think i shall do another reset again to determine the problem.

Shall install the apps one by one first.

If all failed, I have to go to LG =(

Does it happen even if u log out of google accounts also? If it happens means need to reflash firmware. U can follow the steps at https://forum.xda-developers.com/v20/how-to/restore-v20-to-100-stock-bricked-devices-t3524903

LG Bridge > Backup on computer. Factory reset and then restore.

Hi,

ANS1:
If you use both sims, yes, battery drain will be an issue. If you only use one (switch on one of the sim and disable he other, as per normal battery usage. If one is 4G, the other will be 3G if both are on simultaneously. If turn only one sim and disable the other, it will be 4G.

ANS 2:
No. V20 has dedicated sim slots. So you can use both sims and still have dedicated SD card slot. It is not hybrid..

Decided to go to LG and reset the firmware. Even if resetting the phone again without going through the sign in, contact software is already corrupted.

Now able to work in peace. =)
