ANS1:
If you use both sims, yes, battery drain will be an issue. If you only use one (switch on one of the sim and disable he other, as per normal battery usage. If one is 4G, the other will be 3G if both are on simultaneously. If turn only one sim and disable the other, it will be 4G.

ANS 2:
No. V20 has dedicated sim slots. So you can use both sims and still have dedicated SD card slot. It is not hybrid..

Guys. Bought a couple of screen protectors from TB and always ended up with air bubbles along the edge at the top or bottem. Is it my problem or is it meant to be this way?

I've used two of those full coverage tempered glass SP, one perfect fit, no bubbles, but it does not have good finger print resistance and it also have rainbow effect at the middle of the screen. The other one have better finger print resistance, no rainbow effect, but it leaves some bubbles at the top and bottom of the screen. In the end, I still go back to the Nillkin H+ Pro, though not full coverage, it has the best in all other respect.

I had mine done at bishan J8,a small mobile kiosk at level 4 (cinema level). Next to the one facing cinema. Fyi, not the fully covered kind. At least I dont see bubbles on edges.

Hey guys. I just got a V20 today and there's a prompt for an update for V10e and when I tried to update it, it says "invalid package". What's the latest firmware right now? I'm on V10d-SEA-XX.

V10e is the latest for SG's variant.
Restart phone and try again, if it still failed to download/update, I would suggest you update the firmware using the LG Bridge on the PC/Mac.

Yes, my set came with plastic sp. I replaced it with glass sp.

Its because ur phone have problems updating through OTA, so have to use the secondary option which is "LG Bridge". 3rd option is to download firmware kdz file online and manual update. Last option is then to head to LG office for help.

I see. Cuz this is the 1st time I'm encountering this issue. BTW I've turned on KnockOn it doesn't work when I'm using Nova Launcher Prime. Had to revert back to LG launcher.

To those using the impedance adapter, why is my phone unable to go to high impedance mode if I connect it through
Short 3.5mm extension cable -> Impedance adapter -> IEM

However when I connect
Impedance adapter -> short 3.5mm extension cable -> IEM ,
then will I be able to go into high impedance mode.

I wanted to connect through the first method as the impedance adapter sticks out quite alot from the jack and using the short 3.5mm extension cable first can help eliminate this issue, as I can bend the short cable.

Am I doing it wrong? How should I connect it? Or I have to live with the protruding impedance adapter?

PS: For the first method, I have tried connecting the 3 together first then plugging it into the headphone jack but still unable to make it to high impedance mode.
For the second method, the moment I plug the impedance adapter first, it automatically goes into high impedance mode, so no issue regardless of the order I insert into the jack.

Jialat not sure if my V20 faulty or what. If I lay the phone facedown for 5-10 sec, I can't turn on the screen using the fingerprint scanner or pressing the power button. Have to wait a while before the screen turns on after pressing the power button a few times. Anyone had this issue before? Is it a software setting that I missed? I only get this if I place the phone facedown on the table. No problem when placing it face up.

Reboot your phone once in awhile? Or could be your proximity sensor. Didnt encounter this when phone is face down or in pocket

Do you have any apps on your phone that read the proximity sensor to perform some specific action, e.g. wave to wake? If yes, disable the app and try. Btw, what screen protector are you using? If the protector is of type with poor light transmittance and it covers the proximity sensor, this can happen also. I remembered having similar issue when using some sort of anti-blue lights screen protector on my G4 previously.

You guys could be right. I guess the issue is with my tempered glass messing up the proximity sensor. It doesn't cover the top properly and has white air gap on half of the sensors. I'm gonna change the tempered glass when the new one comes later this week.

I guess you got it all wrong and confused about the whole thing .

Regardless first and foremost The impedance adapter shouldn't be there after the high gain mode has Been activated .

Let me try to further explain it simple without pic .

First , do not insert anything into the V20 yet .

Plug the impedance adapter into the 3.5 extender , now you should have both Jack together as one as a single pair,
Note: plug the impedance adapter into the 3.5 extender , not the other way around.
The first end should be the 3.5 extender ( female ) , the impedance adapter should be the second ( male ) .

after that Plug the end of the 3.5 extender jack directly into the V20 , go to settings hifi dac to double check if the high impedance gain mode has been activated .

If activated , pull out ONLY the impedance adapter from the 3.5 extender ( Do not pull out the 3.5 extender ) , and LEAVE just the 3.5 extender in the V20 , now you should have only the 3.5 extender left plugged in the V20.

And then finally Plug your Iem / headphones into the 3.5 extender , now you should left only with the 3.5 extender + Iem in the V20 .
( NO impedance adapter )

go to settings hifi dac to confirm if the high gain mode stay , it should.


That's the way , very simple . The impedance adapter is meant just to be used to activate the high gain mode , it's not meant to be used after the high gain mode kicks in , you have to unplug the impedance adapter out from the 3.5 extender after the activation of the ( high gain mode ) kicks in , so that you can plug in your iem/headphone into the remaining 3.5 extender which is still stay plugged in on the V20 .

Hope you have a better understanding after my explanation .
