ya but if this is the new cadance going forward then G8 will also take so long to come out that people may just settle for V40 after all.

I personally would wait and see if G8 fixes the battery problem of 2018 LG phones (i.e. lousy battery capacity) cos that is the one big standout unfixable issue of G7 and V40

korean boybands dont come cheap if you want them to help sell your phone

LG has never cared about marketing in SG. Thats why nobody makes fun about stuff like the LG G5 jason statham ad, cos thats how little exposure our country gets to LG's marketing. LG pretty much has that 1 big billboard at bugis and thats like 99% of their marketing and brand awareness effort here.

Right now even google has better marketing than LG, at least when you walk into a singtel store there's a unique pixel exhibit while LG is in some inconspicuous corner (if it was even there to begin with at all)
