LG trying to cheat with these price for local market. even in the official US webpage the prices are much lower than this. and also AVS forum members bought 47LM6700 at the lowest price of US$849 with 30 days return/excahnge policy.
You should stop comparing with USA, be realistic and buy what you can afford.
It's the same issue as that of the SG Marantz prices are much lower than US prices. It makes no sense for them to whine about that.

Deal with it.

if i say i am from which mountain, are you going to talk to LG?

we are talking about the TV not cars. if you not like my post just ignore it, no need to waste your time.

Yesterday was at Junction 8, view one of the LG model 47LM series, 3D dame good and passive goggles, the depth is not bad. I always target SOny and Samsung, but never know than LG quality have improved alot over the years. Will spend some time to do my homework before purchase soon.:):):)

When i'm in LG roadshow I feel LM8600 Metal bezel quite hot ,
Anyone know If long term use got any side effect ?

As for LM6700 Aluminium bezel is less hot but the material looks like easy discolour :)

Just my personal obsevation to share :)

I think the LM9600 and LM8600 have dual core processors. That could be the reason why its hotter.

They sell around $200 lesser then cnet price :)

Wait for the next IT show in early June or wait another 3 months. Let the early adopters pay the exorbitant prices :s22:

Hopefully by that time the prices would have come down a bit as I am in no rush to have a 3D TV.

When the previous gen LW6500 and LW5700 series were launched, they were priced to compete with active 3D. Not so this time round, as the market has turned in passive 3D's favor, and there are little other passive 3D makers to compete with. That's why I feel LG is charging premium prices on its latest models.

For those who are balking at the prices and not in urgent need of upgrade, you could wait it out for other brands' passive 3D solutions. FPR is not a difficult tech to implement and I believe prices will come down very soon once other makers catch on to it.

Megadiscount (Thomson). Standard freebies from LG as per promo.
47LM6700 - $2499
55LM6700 - $3588
on the contrary, i thot the new gen is cheaper based on these prices. bcoz the launch price for 47LW5700 was $3099 n initial selling price in shops was around $2800-2900.
perhaps the wrong range of product was compared. ie. LW5700 shld not b compared with LM8600. LM8600 is the more premium range to compete against sammy 8000 series. this LG range was not available here in 2011. eg. the 3D version of LW9500.

Sorry bro, but do you really think it helps other buyers if you quote prices in USA? Lets be more reasonable and realistic. Thanks!

If u are going for 3D then it will be LG. If for Smart TV function then go for korean brands. If normal TV then go for which brands offers the best prices :)
