went to courts to see the lg 3d tv, the sales kept pushing philips active 3d tv and claiming it better than passive and look better and award 3d tv award.

btw it's lot one courts, the sale kept emphasizing that lg r less superior in video quality and even defend that active 3d view angle is good and lg view from side not good etc.
even after I told him I read that active 3d flickers, he still insist lg passive is less superior. I think I will still buy lg despite what he claimed.

Simple, as he is a Philips promoter. Is basically a LG for most of the Philips models.

Philips uses passive 3D, not active. A lot of sales people often give information that are inaccurate and unreliable, for whatever reason. It is better to do your own research first. Having viewed both brands at the shops I must say Eurpoean made Philips 3D smart tv has better picture quality compared to LG. But LG has cheaper pricing and offer more free gifts.

Btw the extend warranty must pay 280 for 6 yrs coverage and cover lcd repair and can one to one replace if necessary,
Norm 3 yr warranty doesn,t include lcd prob? Really? Seriously really.

That's true as I recently experience both LG and Philips. Those Philips midrange and beyond mostly from Europe have better image quality than LG. But if u are looking for nice smart tv interface and framedesign, choose LG!

Is anyone using or have viewed the LG 55LM4610? This model has 3D but is not 'smart'. The last I checked it was going for $1,799 at Courts. Any comments? Is the 3D as good as the smart models?

Quick question:

Bought a NAS (media server) yesterday, connected to the Starhub router. My LG 55LM6700(wired connection to router) does not seem to detect the NAS.

Not sure which LG TV app i should be using too. SmartShare?
