get 6690 if u want style because back panel and remotes are white.it looks sleek in white.6690 is limited edition.unique becos most tvs outhere now are in black.
Does it comes with the magic remote?

Was deciding on 6690 or 6700... Courts now selling 6700 with $300 voucher and free 26'' TV. Somemore use standchart card can get additional 5% off..

Tempting...

white is definitely very nice, which initially I was deciding between 6690 and 6700 as well. After discussed with wifey, decided to take the black.

Reason being that I'm not hanging, put on console and the white part is the back mainly and too contrast with my teak furnishing, if hang on wall even can't see much.
Most importantly is white plastic tends to turn yellowish, especially faster when there's heat. Also the remote will be 1st to turn yellowish and dirty which we are touching them everyday.
my other silver colour remotes already looks dirty and I cant imagine white.

Just be careful and take good care when getting white. ;)

Oh ya... do you all feel the heat on the lower right side aluminium, seems quite hot. Was thinking why LED tv still produce so much heat?

Firstly, i dont want to hang my tv on the wall as it will spoil my wall. Hence, i prefer my tv to stand on table top. For 6690 the tv stand size is smaller than the 6700. Therefore the tv panel is closer to the wall by 2inch (= further from the eyes)than the 6700. 2 inch is crucial considering that my new flat's living room is small. Thus its safer to the eyes and save more space for a gigantic 47 inch panel. About the white colour back cover and remote, yes, have to take care but by the time it it turns obvoius yellow, its time to change to OLED.

Thus I choose 6690!

2 inch will never help your distance in viewing if you will to ask most of the people, is neglectable. My 37" tv is 1 foot away from wall previously, now this LG 47" is slightly more than 1 foot away and I still find it small. :s13:
My viewing distance is only 8 foot away.

Yeh 6700 stand makes the tv far away from wall, the 6690 stand makes the tv be very near to the wall.so it looks sleeker and save more space.

Hi Guys,

Just got my 65LM6200. I have a question, if I play the DTS mkv with the built in movie player, will the optical audio out retain the audio format or it will be converted to STEREO instead?

Thanks
