Appeal is no use because the guilty verdict at the first trial will hang over him during the hustings for the next GE, cos the appeal will take place probably until after the next GE.

i guess they planned everything in advance... make sure timing all swee swee to make the most impact for GE but... i wont buy it

Turning to Singh's police statement, Mr Ang directed his attention to how Singh had answered "yes" when the police asked if Mr Low had been told during the meeting that Ms Khan had confessed her lie to the party leaders on Aug 8, 2021.

Mr Ang then suggested to Singh: "I will suggest to you that you never told Mr Low that you found out about the untruth as early as August, do you agree or disagree?"

In a brief testimony, Mr Low revealed that he was the one who had suggested the formation of a disciplinary panel to look into Ms Khan's lie. He said that he only found out that Singh and fellow WP leaders Sylvia Lim and Muhamad Faisal Abdul Manap had known about Ms Khan's lie since Aug 8, 2021, in August 2023.

Looks like Mr Low and Singh are consistent. What is the issue? All happened in Aug.

Don't you know waiver of competition can be applied in special circumstances such as emergency, lack of time? This was what happened after 2011 victory, and they were allowed to do it by the govt.

In the following year, there was an open tender but there's only one company who submitted for the AHPETC managing agent during an open tender. What do you want them to do? Wait for a few months or years until a second or third managing agent apply for it? All just shake leg and do nothing while waiting?

You really think the skeleton staff of hougang town council can upsize and manage an additional 5 wards compared to professionals huh? It's like saying your work load increases 5 times, and you will need professionals who can do these tasks more efficiently.

He surely get fined. In SG system state courts and high court is 1 judge then always favour prosecution. Court of Appeal is panel of judges tend to favour defence overturned many cases though. Like AHTC and some murder cases. From start they block Pritam from going to High court first.

Eh...I need to correct you ah......State Courts is the Lower Courts, while the High Court and the COA forms the Supreme Court.....Only the courts in the Supreme Court circuit can overturn the judgements made in the Lower Courts...

Those judges you see in Lower courts are all addressed as Mr , Ms and Mrs in their appointment. Those judges you see in the Supreme Courts have very different honorifics.....



In the case of Parti Liyani's appeal, It was the High Court that overturned Parti Liyani's original verdict.

This case they purposely not allow him heard at High court so he cannot go Court of Appeal which will favour him. The current flow is he appeal can only go High court still 1 judge can decide all.

That maid case she was damn lucky though, Spf screw up.

The CJ is a very powerful person that can actually preside over court hearings if he wants to.

Yea cj can select any judge there to oversee his appeal. Supreme court is very high paygrade unlike state courts. State court judge can easier be conflicted since want to have chance impress and rise up the system.

From the looks judge had decided and one of the days he said leave the cop botched evidence thing for appeal. Its only whether waive away first charge.
