Just buy whichever product tells you what sensor and switch they use. You will be less likely to be disappointed.

I refuse to buy products that do not explicitly put what switch or sensors they use on tech specs anymore. ("Marketing*)

Wtf is a hero sensor, and no switch details (likely cheap ****) at exorbitant price.

VXE R1 SE only $30, is it a good mouse?

This one is the dragonfly series right?
I was looking at taobao vxe flagship store yesterday.
The white one OOS. Left black. It was on discount at RMB 89.
This morning I re check, OOS liao. The price also revert back to RMB 159.
Really selling like hot cakes.

The pet peeve probably is it cannot do 4K polling as reported on their website.
Only 2k. Got one youtube voiced this out. Got blasted by others as being too picky .

Does the 4K dongle really helps in latency or just snakeoil?
I tried Puslar X2 Mini Bruce Lee at 1000Hz and another X2V2 Mini at 1000/4000Hz, seems about the same. But then again when I used Finalmouse ULX at 4000Hz vs X2V2 Mini its actually quite different. So I guess different sensors and transmission unit matters more than 4k. Most people will be fine playing competitive at 1000Hz, battery life at 4000Hz is abysmal.

It's cut down version of the current 3395 Pixart sensor. I know alot like it but QC for those mice would be undoubtedly worse. Also coating won't be as good as the R1 Pro or Pro Max versions. Also R1 Pro and Pro Max have the option where you can buy the 4k Dongle down the road and pair it but you can't with the SE. I feel its worth spending abit more for their flagship. It's a much better mouse with flagship specs.
Hey, three questions.
  1. How's your Pulsar X2H Acid Rewind?
  2. Are you using a Pulsar 4K dongle with it?
  3. What's your take on Pulsar's 4K dongle and 4K polling rate in general?

1. Pulsar X2H Acid Rewind has been great so far. Stock skates are very slow other than that it's perfect. The sticky clicks people complained on the X2 V2 regular series is not on my copy. I think they fixed it.

2. Yes I'm using the 4k Dongle with it.

3. It does eat up battery life much more than 1k but it's optimised pretty well. I can use 4-6 days with gaming 3-4 hours every day. 4k polling is worth only I feel only if you can play at high dpi. I play at 6400 dpi to saturate the usb to reap the most benefit from the 4k. 1600-3200 dpi I suppose is fine also but no point if you're going to use 800 dpi cause you won't saturate your usb port enough for 4k polling to be worth it. Secondly, if you use high rate refresh monitors at 240Hz and above, 4k polling is very noticeable in terms of mouse movements. Much smoother. But the biggest reason to use 4k comes from click latency over motion latency. Click latency is very much improved when using 4k. But none of this will ever affect you unless you're playing fast paced fps multiplayer. So you have to decide if you want it or not.

My other 2 mice is also 4k but I play better with them due to shape mainly so I may not keep the X2H Acid Rewind very long. But the mouse is flawless and I can't fault it if that's what you want to know.

Hope this helps!

Thank you, especially on the point on click latency. Three more questions.
  1. Did you order from Pulsar.gg?
  2. If so, how was the purchase experience?
  3. Did you incur GST? (Do PM if inconvenient)
Much appreciated, keep safe.

1. Yes I ordered maybe 2 months back.
2. Great. They shipped it out pretty fast.
3. No I didn't.

If you like the Acid Rewind edition, you can probably get it brand new at XtremeSolutions. Might work out faster. Or I don't mind selling mine at a lower price as I prefer other shapes I using now. You can PM me if you're interested but if you want to get brand new, you are better getting it from Xtreme Solutions. The price is not very different.

In case anyone wants to know how the R1 Pro internals look, here it is.
This is the only mouse I had to open up as there was some crunch on the Right Mouse button.
Had to readjust the tensioning of the plunger and fixed some slight pre-travel with some aluminium tape.
Mouse feels a million times better right now. Some minor QC issues might be expected with this mouse but I believe most of the new batches should be very good now. But even if you do have some slight QC issues, it is an easy fix as the mouse is very easy to open up and do some slight adjustments.

I been told that Finalmouse ULX has superb battery life, easily 10 days+ on 1000Hz polling. The small version is one of the lightest on the market and because its smaller its more structurally sound thus doesn't bend like the large ones. Another drop coming on Sunday.
I second this. Am using the small one now. It's even lighter and better than Medium Batch 1.5 that I also have.
In general, I love it because of the Internet Browser based UI as opposed to having to install a software on my PC like with Razer. My Razer Vipers never failed me for years. But the Razer software tends to crap out once in a while causing lighting issues with the keyboard and mouse.

I'm now starting to appreciate not having lights on my mouse when watching videos. So the Finalmouse UltralightX (ULX) which is just drop dead gorgeous with the Black Panther black design and the gold accents and the no software approach is a lot more suitable for me.
Along with that, it is one of the lowest latency mice out there and the sensor have been smooth throughout.
So I would highly recommend the Medium Batch 2 onwards or the Small. My aim got better with the small vs the Medium. So that is why I'll go with that. But your mileage may vary. I have all 3 sizes just to see which suits me better.

Once you have a mice this light, you won't be eager to change to any other mice for a while. It's the lightest in the market that is hard to match in terms of looks and performance. So it'll be a long while till we see something else that beats it. Enjoy!

TLDR Features:
USB-C Charging and Wired Cable
1000Hz to 4000Hz Polling Rate (8K Polling Rate coming soon)
Lowest Latency
Lowest Weight
High Performance

Wonderful and you're too kind. I'm considering the x2v2 mini with my fingertip grip.
