I always try to keep an eye on left/right even i am already half way in lane because a lot of people just switch lanes without even looking in their mirror regardless you are in their blind spot or not.

Few days ago similar thing happen to me and when i confront driver, old uncle who was driving Merc told me that i came to fast although he was going straight and decided to switch lane without looking in his mirror.

Just be careful as these people will get their license revoked for a few years and maybe jail time and other party will lose their lives and it is not worth it. Be safe and glad you guys are ok.

my son is my speed regulator..whenever he feels I'm driving too fast on highway

he'll say 爸爸，不要驾这样快啦！

then i'd slow down abit to ard 70-80kmhr..then he'll also repeat the same thing..

this time i reply him.. 你去坐bus咯!

My son is the opposite. Always telling me why the other cars faster. Can I go faster and overtake all of them or not.

Again many have talk about signaling issue. Signal doesn't mean you will have the right of way. U need to check for other cars too. Lets say u are at lane 2 travel 70. Than u decide to go lane 1 by filter with speed 70km. Meanwhile there is a BMW traveling at lane 1 at 100km approaching ya side. Do u still cut in even u signal or u wait for the BMW to pass you than u filter? Or u just filter it cause u signal and cause the BMW to jam brake? Common sense bro. No offend. The lorry wanna cut in last min to PIE on my right with his speed of 60 I think and the lorry nv even bother to wait awhile before filter it. In my theory of changin lane is never filter 2 lane At a time cause u will miss your blind spot by alot. Filter one by one. Not straight cut 2 lane. Dangerous.

Your theory is correct. However, if you are the one on lane 1 seeing a lorry cutting 2 lanes into yours. Do you risk your life and everyone onboard by insisting your right of way or slow down in caution? This is a simple situation whereby you can drive perfectly according to all traffic rules and right of way but end up on the losing end upon incident.

In my humble opinion, who is right or wrong doesn't determine who lives or dies in accidents. Hope this helps.

Sure, but you can see lorry driver has signal for a while from the video. Why this driver still driving so fast without caution ?
He should slow down even he was "thinking" not to give way !! Especially he has family member in the car.

If you calculate the distance/time in the video. I believe the driver is over the speed limit too.

So my suggestion the original post to change the title of this post.

As what other bros has said, always practice defensive driving, anticipate/predicate other road-users movements and have a safe distance.

On the road, it's very fast pace. 1 slight wrong movement, may cause the lives of others. Never assume while on the road.
