anyone tried this product before?? like seriously as it claims, 'fat burning machine' and 'improve metabolism, burn stored fat, increase energy and shed pounds'

I dont have the energy to really exercise, gets very tired every after 7-8hrs of slp. Wondering such product could help me to improve metabolism so that i will be doing real exercise than relaying on different weight lost product.

my personal research review on the product. basically paraphrasing lyle mcdonald's work.

Reviewing a “fat loss” supplement as requested by one of my relatives.

From the supplement’s website itself.

“One of the unique features of Garcinia Cambogia is its ability to burn off carbohydrates before they convert into fat. Garcinia Cambogia has been shown to naturally promote weight loss by reducing the amounts of an enzyme called citrate lyase, which is primarily responsible for turning carbohydrates into fat that is accumulated in your body. Slowing down the production of this enzyme results in burning off the excess carbohydrates that would otherwise turn into fat. But this is far from being the only advantage of this unique product.”

Summary: The supplement supposedly inhibits the conversion of consumed carbohydrates to fat.

Personal review:
A recap on two pathways of how fat is stored in our body.

1) Through the consumption of fats in our diet
2) Through de novo lipogenesis (DNL), where carbs are converted to fats (what the supplement intends to prevent)

However, research studies in human trials showed that DNL only takes place under extreme diet conditions. For DNL to occur, an individual has to consume a huge amount of carbs daily (80-85% of his daily calorie intake) and consistently for a few days. For a 70kg male, this translates to about 1800-1900 cals from carbs. 1900 cals from carbs is about 1.9kg of white rice! 1.9kg of white rice daily for a few days. An average individual would not hit that level of carb intake.

Establishing a sustainable and nutrient dense yet calorie deficit diet is a more realistic approach to #fatloss. I’d be wary of any supplements which has similar gimmicky “Burns fat fast!” slogans on it.

Instagram

tl;dr several studies proves that the product is ineffective for fatloss. personally, it is a gimmick and not necessary for the average person to lose fats.

BUT only twice a month..

That is just a recommendation IF you're already in shape & want to blast the extra fat off. But if you're fat & want to get rid of the blubber fast, then do barbell/dumbell complexes 1 workout & tabatas for another ie alternate them eg

Workout 1
Complexes

rest day

Workout 2

tabatas etc..

Both are tough so I'd recommend that you have at least 2 - 3 months of solid lifting experience behind you.

Then I'd suggest that you take about 2 months to get back into condition (more if you've laid off v long eg more than a year); after that you can start doing complexes & tabatas, with very conservative weights initially otherwise you'll be v sore..

Uh. I can understand that. Btw I'M just wondering 170g protein per day. BUT if I eat out how does 3meat 1veg 5times a day =170 of protein seems over alot

Josef rakich's answer to this question

Q: hows ur cut like from the beginning to end? calories and macros weekly or monthly.
A: 1.5g protein per pound of bodyweight 0.45g fat per pound of bodyweight and the remaining calories from carbs, as i drop calories down i drop it from the carbs.

His weight is around 80kg. Since he says 1.5g protein per pound of bodyweight, his protein intake would be 264g per day and he still can lose body fat. So it's up to you whether to believe him or not.

And about losing how much fat per week

Well if you are at a big calorie deficit you will lose a bit of muscle yes, they key to maintaining muscle mass is slow dieting, this is the best way to preserve muscle. If you are at a 500 calorie deficit per day you should technically lose alb of fat per week as there is 3500 calories in a pound of fat, however if you are doing cardio onto of that you will be in a even greater deficit losing even more weight, i would aim for about 1.5lbs per week max, any more than that you may lose a bit of muscle also.

He has obvious result, proven pictures. So we should believe what he says.
