LHY helped LWL fulfill her bucket list by accompanying her to Machu Picchu, got his sons to take care of all the funeral arrangement, but just because he and LSF didn't go to the wake, they 'lose out' to LHL and HC who had merely visited the wake?!!!

You mean you would prefer to have your loved ones who never bother about you when you are ailing but would attend your wake only after you die, than someone who had been taking care of you but due to some reasons, was unable to be present at the wake?

In early 2020 before Covid, on her request, I travelled to Machu Picchu with her. It was high on her bucket list, and was a long trip. Machu Picchu was built on a very remote and isolated steep outcrop and was challenging for her as her incipient illness had affected her sense of balance and mobility. Nonetheless, with a little help she managed to get around the citadel. She loved and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I am so glad we made that trip together.

The minister, dressed in a white short-sleeve shirt, arrived at the wake with his wife Ho Ching, 71, and son Li Hongyi, 37, at about 8.25pm. They did not stop to speak to the media. They left from the back door of the Singapore Casket building at Lavender Street, where the wake was being held, after about 15 minutes.

I rather my loved ones spent time with me when I'm alive.. what's the point of coming back to attend my funeral when I'm already dead.

Usually if parents not close to that relative, children also won’t be close. Parents would have ‘explained’ why they keep their distance from that relative since young.

So much for someone who claimed to have promised his late father to take good care of his younger siblings.. But when one sibling died, merely made a brief 15 mins visit at her wake..

Maybe she prefers this photo. I supposed she must have inputs as to how she wants her funeral arrangements to be like.

Eg.. simple, no religion funeral set up, the photo wasn't even placed on the hearse as well.

I went friend's funeral also stayed for at least half an hour to an hour minimum..
