Are you using it as a main drive or secondary?
What M2 slot are you using for the drive?

if you care, get the ones with DRAM if not just the biggest capacity with value

Samsung SSD's reliability is number 1. So I wouldn't ridicule anyone for getting it. From my experience, I got burned for using an SSD that wasn't Samsung thanks to the horrible Phison controller. So I'd rather go for my safest SSD drives which are Samsung. Currently 5 out of 6 drives are my Samsung SSD drives that I've accumulated over the years. Still working well.
Now trying 1 WD Black drive since I need a 4TB drive. Since WD is also using their own controller like Samsung.

To be honest, i rather spend on the Seagate 520/530 or WD 850/850X over any Samsung 980pro/990pro.

Kioxia an underrated SSD brand. Been using it for both my servers, NAS and workstation, no issues.

Since most of my servers using their U.2 drives, i trust their enterprise SSD than consumer SSD out there when running critical applications. Fact is, speed is not everything. No point having such a speedy drive that cannot even hold its data for long.

If you check all nvme brand will have this sort of remarks by users not a good indicator for few isolated case, luck might in play case to case basis.
yes all products got some bad reviews.... it is all about luck.
i not saying samsung is bad, but given that other brands are cheaper or even more durable than samsung.
i post these information so TS take these into considerations.

When choosing ssd, reliability is more important than performance.

I do agreed realiability is more important.

based on your experience which of your nvme ssd receive more regular firmware update/support to improve its reliability for long term usage?
