going to jump ship from starhub ($20+5 ) to M1 200GB plan .$15

qualify for CIS with free caller id.

hear a lot of online complaint. is that really bad ?

I am hesitate to move to mvno.

the 5G network does speed thing up.

Yes, I tried M1 from late 2023 to early 2024 because the rate is attractive but I ported my line back to Starhub because mobile payments on M1 line keep failing due to intermittent no internet connection on 4G or 5G.

1TB data for M1 S$17.95 sim only plan. More worth it if you sign with their CIS cos it comes with free caller ID.
What’s the use of having 1TB data when they don’t work properly most of time?

Rather pay a bit more for quality service…

Had the same problem during the same period of time and I jumped back to Singtel. But now the 5G seems to much much better. I am back on CIS plan since October last year.

M1 connection quality and coverage is matching starhub line that I used to subscribe .

I am happy as I am paying $15 less with more or less same data cap .

Indeed I hardly consumed more than 20GB per month. Anything more than 100GB is just a figure to me.

Went through big data hotspot download a few times.. passed the test with flying color.
Passed Acid test : downloading 3-4GB of data on a moving car traveling (80-100km/h) through expressway.

matching or due to loss of subscriber considering mvno are not majorly using m1

Don't understand what are you trying to imply ?

From November till now,I don't have any problem.

I am just a general user with no agenda to provoke or discredit anything but stating the current state of M1 network based on my usage.

Beg to differ, it was atrocious previously.
Nowadays it seems better/more stable as compared to before.
They are still as atrocious now.
1. Pattern more than badminton.
Their m1 maxx said 7.90 per month but charge consecutive 9.90 per month for 2 months.
2. The got the chick to tell me M1 Maxx is not M1.
3. Due to some unforseen circumstance, my m1 maxx line became dead and have to transfer to M1 to bring it to live again as advised by the CSO. After transfer to m1, due to cost issue, I tried to transfer out to Zero1. However it took me 1 whole month of December to dingdong with M1 and Zero1 and IMDA to get my main line transfer out finally.
4.When ask for black and white to tell Zero1 that M1 is ready to let me port out, the unable to give me black and white. I have to press the CSO so hard that finally the CSO get the manager to call me back in the afternoon.

However I must agree, their signal and connectivity have improved a lot.
I am getting very decent speed and connectivity at home / in office and on the NEL line.
But don't just look at speed and connectivity. Customer Service and Cost must take into consideration also.

Technicaly it works the same as how Starhub's STAR plan is not part of Starhub, though it carries the name in the product. Thus, M1 Maxx is "technically" not M1 but M1 Maxx. Leverage on M1's brandname but when have problem, its a different entity. 🤣

Yes, signal and connectivity in geenral has improved to be back to serviceable from observation.

Most likelihood both of you are correct. M1 was more than just bad around 2019-20. Showing full signal strength but one had no idea that data was actually disconnected (hence the term airplane mode was coined). Whatsapp msg would flood the phone suddenly and getting queries on why emails are not read etc... Can't even get online music with spotify and QQ music while in Harbourfront Center. Anyway, shifted to Singtel and all was ok.

Perhaps M1 has improved by leaps and bounds nowadays, so who knows.

Switched to M1 5G and to be fair performance was quite good compared to last time 4G always aeroplane no connection. Not sure though if it’s only applicable to 5G or they have improved across the board

Yeah, it seems to be better.
Staying on 5G most of the time too from what I experience with the places I visit.

Is there anyway to unsubscribe/deactivate to the "Block International Calls" and "Block International SMS"?

m1block.jpg

Can't event find the subscribe and unsubscribe button.

m1block2.jpg

And calling them to toggle it on/off will have to incur a charge of $10.90?

Might want to refresh/relogin to the app.
"Unsubscribe" button is showing on my app for the respective VAS.

M1 4G still... sucks IMO. Their 5G is as good as Singtel and SH IMO. M1 should also be more upfront on their free 5G. It's only valid for a few months but at S$2.XX. i do not mind paying for it after my 5G service expired.

CSO service wise is so-so IMO. I ask M1, M1 ask me ask SH. I call SH, SH tell me is M1 problem. Ping pong here and there.

EoD, i am still happy with what i pay and the 5G connection.
