M1 recently upps it's game on SIM Only plan, it's their birthday. There is one plan which I see quite good.

M1 CORI SIM Only, $14.95/MTH gets you 250GB, 5G SA, unlimited weekend data, auto roam, 6 months free caller ID, 2k mins talktime.
Nomal consumer SIM Only, $16.15/MTH gets you 200GB, 5G SA, unlimited weekend data or 300GB @ $19.18

Don't seem to have a thread about M1 mobile , the Mobile Network Operator - M1 and not it's MVNO. I saw another thread on M1, but it's not under mobile communications technology. Unless @mods can merge the main thread and move it over here for discussions.
M1 CORI SIM Only used to give free caller ID forever…. Seems like they want charge you after promo to earn that $5+ per math…….

All major telco skimming Caller ID but all MVNO gives free CallerID
It was free for SH 2 yrs back. Then they decided to remove it. I wrote in a few times to voice my disappointment cos i feel stupid to pay S$5.25 for Caller ID when their sub brand is giving out for free. 4 yrs with SH mobile so this coming sept i will do the right thing and bye them.

Sigh, higher up likes to treat essential service as values added service and charge u a premium.

I was looking at singtel plans awhile back, even their CIS Sim only plans has 12 months contract and 12 months free caller ID, when you forget to recontract, you be charged caller ID.

Was with M1 since thy started business (1st or 2nd year) with their multi SIM plan later on. Recent years the multi SIM plan keep having issue.

My line strangely become someone else's. And someone else's line became mine (or the dummy number used for the multi SIM). Meaning when I call my line on my office phone, my phone will not ring, but someone else phone ring and she can pick up and we can talk. She even fwd my med appt SMS to me when I gave her my then number. She also using multi SIM and her number was also changed.

When I port in another SingTel line, this M1 line went dead the next day. Only data working. Calls and SMS went dead.

SMS for internet banking and SGpools. Need to resend multiple times then can receive. Or many times, did not received at all.

Not reliable operator and their support is really CMI.

Ported out of M1 to a MVNO last year (since M1 multi SIM changed to a useless format for me) and no issue ever since. And much cheaper subscription.

What a relief!

this isn't good if they mixed up the configuration of multi sim. Is your multi sim, like for LTE watch or 1 number 2 sim ?

1 number 2 SIM cards type. The first one you mentioned is number share.

Yah, imagine the other person receive your med appt SMS, OTP etc.

Security and privacy issues!!!

Anyway, as mentioned port out of M1, so happy now. :)

Does any one has difficulty re-nominating the free calls to m1 friends after change plan? They removed mine automatically. When tried to re-nominate again, keep appearing no numbers selected. Contacted M1 but pretty much unresolved after so long.

Switched to M1 5G Bespoke sim plan from Giga months ago
Should have paid the 5G access for Giga to try back then...
I must say the M1 experience is from good to bad..
Decided to try M1 as the price is quite competitive but then the caller ID charges had start to kick in.
first month not too bad, except the connection will drop in tunnel, some shopping malls indoor or in office...

Encountered only once sudden drop (no connection despite phone showing 5G) then have to restart the network to get it working.
And then now lately i keep experiencing this very often...
Decided to jump ship to try Starhub.

Finally, after 25years. I finally left M1.
Yes. Service was really going downhill. (reception was not improving and get worse)

From the ending of monthly sunperks points to poor reception. And i think they also phase out on M1 loyalty Program. I think, all these while only these are the USP for M1. > Data passport and M1 Cori Plan.

Other then that, seem to be a dying ship. Even Starhub overtook M1 and become no.2

Now happily with CM.

Data passport was the nail in the coffin. 🤭

they are losing touch to the whole industry. the only saving grace is the CORI with data passport which no other telco have to match.

Friends around me still use M1 because they're concerned that porting their numbers to an MVNO won't have the same level of support, given that many MVNOs don't have physical shops. Another reason they cite is that these plans don't offer handset offsets.

Having not signed up for a device with a telco in a while, I've noticed that M1 plans are usually cheaper compared to Singtel. However, sometimes M1 and StarHub plans compete on price and offerings, especially with what StarHub can bundle with cable TV occasionally.

Overall, I think M1 still caters to the market of older folks who aren't affluent enough to sign up for Singtel plans. The younger generation I've seen tends to be with Singtel or an MVNO, while those with M1 often inherited the plan from their parents.

true. alot of these concerns of people don't port out is they are scared don't have same level of support. Most inherited numbers from their parents and hence continue. They all also continue the trend of every 2 years get a new phone and re-contract.

They don't get the new trend of more people signing sim only plans and still wanting to get a new phone every two years despite they don't really need it. They though it would be cheaper to get a new phone by signing with them.

M1 still has it's base supporters. Their sim only plans are getting cheaper though, but their CIS plans now only comes with 6 months free caller ID. they deviated from what they suppose to give, free caller id for CIS SIM Only plans
