What's the point of wifi having long range, but your device cannot reach the router ?
You should consider placement of the router , which is paramount.
Where router can reach the clients and clients can reach the router !!!

Hi bros, I am currently looking at buying this router from people who just recontract and not planning to use it.

For me I am on Starhub Fibre using the Linksys EA8100 bundled with my 1Gpbs plan. The only reason why I am looking to get the Asus RT-AC2600 is to be able to run ExpressVPN through OpenVPN. Will this be better or should I get the RT-AC68U instead as it comes with dedicated ExpressVpn firmware.

Anyone tried this before? Any feedback? Will be first time I am trying to run a VPN router.

That's all it says on the specification...

External antenna x 3
Internal antenna x 1

UPDATE: Tried switching off my ONT for 15mins and started but no use. However, I cloned my Ac66u MAC address to my ac2600 and it was able to obtain the DHCP IP address and connect to the internet.

M1 only allow 1 specific device to connect to thier ONt? My previous router didn’t have to do this~

Could my router still have issues or is just the ISP problem?

Just call them say you change router. AFAIK, m1 never lock down MAC address.

Anyone uses the AC1200+G router? The router 5Ghz SSID does not broadcast therefore invisible in the WiFI network. How to solve the issue? It is a brand new set from M1

Hi all I got this router and it is asking me to switch to HTTPS protocol. Should I do it? Or any reason not to do it?
