Hi Guys,

Currently linking up my mbp to my st 2410 but I have no idea on how to make the resolution sharper, apparently I'm only able to mirror the mbp to my screen at 1280x768 when I want a higher resolution.

Any help would be appreciated.

nvm manage to sort it out.

for your info

for those who wishes to have a higher resolution when using an external monitor - make sure u plug in the power cable. do not click on mirror. close the cover (clamshell mode) - that will put comp in sleep

type on your keyboard and this will wake the comp and voila the external screen is automatically in high resolution.

but you must always close the lid everytime.

so you open the lid to press the button button, then close the lid for clamshell mode.

then next time you want to use your mac again, have to open lid start power, close lid.

then why did u buy a mac for? Just sell it off since OS X suck cos Safari cant print selections and it is overpriced and overhyped...and I suppose u think OS X users are stupid as well? So why are u using a mac then?

Tried using handbrake, having problems and its too slow

Hey Yuendi,

if you format your portable hard disk as FAT32, both Mac & Windows can read/write. The only down side is you can transfer up to 4GB of file. If you've a video file more than 4GB, you can't transfer your content over.

Mac OS journalled format; Mac can read / write, Windows can only read.

NTSF format; Mac can read, Windows can read / write. You can download third party application like MacFuse to write files on Mac.


*read means, view the files on your hard disk
*write means, you can add/delete/modify files on your hard disk

I'm not sure about DVD to iPhone format. However if you wish to convert avi, H264, Theora, MKV, FLV or wmv formats to iPhone friendly. Miro Video converter can do the magic for you.

today i try mine mbp can read/write 320gb WD ext 2.5" HDD. Previously 320gb HDD was used by hp notebook. I didn't format 320gb HDD before. But mbp cannot write to 1TB WD ext 2.5" HDD. How to convert so mbp can write 1TB HDD?
