Hi all!

I would like to ask, for the replacement of a new macbook (i just bought mine online and it's doa), will the carrier need me to hand in whole box set (including wires and chargers) or just the macbook itself? Thanks!

You're suppose to give back the entire box with the chargers everything.
Apple will ship you a brand MB.

you sure mac technology is not on par or even supercedes the technology of windows?

You sure mac is more expensive than windows? in what basis are you holding the comparison?

I can guarantee you that I7 laptop you're referring to is:

1) Not made of a unibody aluminium enclosure which does not flex, and feels and looks beautiful
2) Does not have a glass touchpad which is 100 times better use than any windows equivalent
3) Does not have a backlit keyboard
4) Does not run OS X which is 100 times better to use than windows unless you play games
5) is made of cheap plastic which creaks like a rusty hinge, is thicker, heavier and uglier
6) will get viruses and run like a dog within the first week of use
7) does not have a battery which will last up to 9 hours on a single charge

Ask yourself if you still think the windows laptop is a good deal. There is a lot more to a computer than what processor it uses. A Lotus Elise uses a 1.8litre toyota engine which can be found in a corolla. Does that mean the lotus elise is a bad deal when it costs more than twice as much?

If what i say still doesnt make sense...then i suggest you just stick with windows and leave it at that

My feeling about macbook... it is the style and Mac OS X.... Mac OS X is really fast... rarely hang... plus, I can put my macbook in sleep mode without power off for almost a month already... still running... memory management is great... no memory leaking, I cannot imagine win7 without power off for one month...

OS X very stable.. I guess people use mac for a reason, fast/stable and most importantly STYLE.... damn I like my macbook..

expensive? not really given that we are enjoying it every single day....

One example, one guy open his "ALIENWARE" top of the line laptop in starbuck, people just look and continue drinking coffee...

Someone comes in with a MBA 11" open and use it... whao lao all look sia!!! Damn cool... (hehehe that guy is me...)

I guess this is what we are paying a little bit more for.... heheheheh

No hard feeling bro, sometime I still use win7 for my work related stuff, but still... it is on my macbook!! Boot camp save the day.

Fully understand ur feeling! Ha! No one will look at ur laptop but they will look at ur MacBook! Okies but if I getting a MacBook pro, the price of CS5 is going to kill me. I don think I can use my window version CS4 and photomatix, rite? So I need to pay for software again. Unless I convert my MacBook but my MacBook will die faster!

Sup guys, i need some help. Recently I bought a Macbook during the first day of the Sitex show and I bought it for $999.90 during the epicentre hourly promotion. The guy who is promoting this said it was new. But when I went home, i found out that it's a 2009 model and it has no warranty covering it. And after using it for quite awhile, I realized that the battery life is kind of short. I feel kind of cheated. Any suggestions of what should I do? Am I able to return it and get a new one?

Find Epicenter.
All new macs come with a(1, one) year of warranty which can be extended to 2. Adding it up to 3 years warranty from Apple.

I bought it during the Sitex show and at the epicentre booth they have this like hourly promotion. The guy who's promoting this Macbook claim that it's new. And as I'm new to all these Apple stuffs, I didn't check whether it was a new model or not. But $999.90 for a Macbook that is an old model, doesn't have warranty covering it and low battery life, isn't this ridiculous? So I don't know what should i do now. Can i refund it for a new one?
