For a game that old, I don't really think it's intensive really.

Anyway, when they ported it from PowerPC to Intel, the coding wasn't really well done so even though it works well (IMO), I would suggest you get Windows anyway, why? Because for the vast majority of games, there are only Windows builds present. For gaming I wouldn't use virtualization (i.e. Parallels/Fusion), just run Windows natively using Boot Camp for best performance.

Cost wise = 1 copy of Windows 7

WC3 does not support mac.

You have to install a genuine version of windows into mac through bootcamp if you want to play it. Graphics wise its still manageable but you may need a bigger ram.

Both vmfusion and parallels allow you to run mac and windows without restarting and includes some minor functions each individually. Search on the web to get a bigger picture.

Anyway, WC3 is not light gaming, its intensive.

WarCraft 3 is fully Mac OS X native/compatible. I own the game.

hi, however, bootcamp is too much of a hassle.

i have to keep switching and back, which i dont really like.

anyway, if i use virtualisation, am i entitled to have full screen gaming too?

Supposedly, the latest versions of VMware Fusion 3 and Parallels Desktop 5 would enable you to run games which are considered graphically-intensive, but a recent review I read showed that VMware Fusion 3 is horrible at games, whereas Parallels Desktop 5 performed slightly better, but the reviewer still recommended Boot Camp as the best alternative.

I would consider using a second machine if you're into gaming that much. :) Nothing beats running it natively.

Anyone using the newer anti-glare screens on the 15"/17" mbp? Any difference in color/vividness? Need your thoughts as i'm deciding between the anti-glare/gloss, went down to a few mac shops and most of them only got the gloss screen ones on display.

I'm using a 17" AG Unibody, the colours are definitely more vivid and "pop" on the glossy screens. I got the 17" for the AG (before the option became available on the 15" MBP) because I can't stand the glare and the colours are supposedly more accurate (I use supposedly because some people argue against it) for photography. I'm not sure how my Spyder3 would react to a glass surface anyway, so I just went with the AG option.

No, nothing is required.

Just verify that it is still in warranty, the technicians will just verify against the S/N of the machine located on the bottom.

More details please, what router are you using? Can you view the network with any other device (i.e. are you sure it's configured properly)? And can you see any other networks with your MacBook?
