Hi, I got a question regarding OS.
I am running a Tiger OS on my old macbook.
Is there any chance I can jump to the Leopard OS? If so, what are my options?

How would the Leopard OS impact my performance since my macbook has low specs.

hi all, i have a problem regarding the inability to open JPG not on my mac, but on my friends' macs.

what happens is that after saving a JPG file in photoshop, i'll send it to a friend over adium. and when he or she tries to open it, it just won't open.

i have tried sending to friends on windows and they are able to open the JPG.

but those on macs can't. i even tried re-saving via the Preview app but it doesn't work.

any ideas?

btw i'm running on 10.6.4, using cs5.

Did you save the image in RGB format Jpeg?
And did your file has extension xxxx.jpg or xxxx.jpeg ?

Try saving using "Save for web" if your photo is meant for screen viewing and not for print.

downloaded cleanmymac it have lots of unknown fuctions.. so i nvr use... later screwup my mac... i looking for those temp file cleaner that delete safari history cache etc.

hi guys, i have replaced my original MBP hdd (5400rpm) to a new 7200rpm. I want to use the 5400rpm as a portable hdd. how can i reformat it to do so? can i do it via a windows OS platform and access it on both mac machines & windows machines?

You can format on the Mac to FAT32 via Disk Utility. If you choose to format on Windows, it may not show up if it's HFS+. Start > Run > diskmgmt.msc or you can find it in Control Panel > Admin > Com Management > Disk Management. You should see your disk there.

quick question.. i dunno if my hdd has RIP or its the boot up disk is screwed.. i was doing work just now and suddenly, it restarted itself.. black screen no warning.. after the white screen, come a black screen with No bootable device - insert book disk error.. restart again and same thing.. so i reboot again and pressed the alt key.. but nothing comes up.. both my bootcamp and leopard is missing..

is my drive dead or its the boot priority/os screwed up? just wanna confirm b4 i get home and start the remedies.

i'm having this problem at home with my mbp and my nas. i have a planex nas-01g at home which was formated to ntfs.

i have no issue connecting to the nas from my mbp. however, everytime when i try to copy a file to my mbp, i encounter the following error. anyone know how to solve this issue? thanks!

hi iseelamepple...i have tried your suggested method, but in the diskmanagement, i don't seem to be able to reformat the hdd (winXP)...it states that it is GPT protected....how do i get into disk utility in mac?
