There's no way that anyone can lose control if he or she applied the brakes when going down. Just apply a little force on the brake can save your life. No need for any helmet or anything. You can see that the slope is a long gradient down so don't be hao lian especially when you are old.

ok lah...I admitted I also didn't apply brakes when going down that slope but that was when I was in my teens...:s13:. After that time, subsequently when I grew older, I don't dare to ride that slope again without applying the brakes. Can easily control the bike by applying a little force to the brakes and maneuvre the bike.

The rental bicycle also not in the best condition...

yes. But brakes are the most important. Those who rent the bikes in Ubin needs to check the brakes first before taking it. I returned the bike before on the spot when I checked that the brakes are not in good condition.

One thing, I don't choose bikes whose brakes are too sensitive. Once I rented a bike at East Coast Park, I squeezed the handle a bit only it almost jerked me off already. Then my tiong friend said choose one whose brakes work smoothly so that you can have a fluid stop.

Must it compulsory for employers to buy maid life insurance while they are in Singapore. The longer they stay the higher premiums employers had to pay.

Singapore have to stop the practice of cheap maids. The whole nation is bearing the burden of hosting these extra people here.
