During the early stages of VEP & using TnG for VEP, there were some suggestions in the VEP Forums not to perform Verification for the TnG app.

In my case my partner uses TnG eWallet, without any TnG cards linked to the app. She also didn't perform any verification for the app. She is registered for VEP.

For my part, I didn't create an eWallet with the app but I've 2 TnG Cards linked with the TnG app. I did verification & during verification I'd to take a photo of my passport & provide an email. I am not a registered VEP driver - I don't own a car.

She carries one card & I carry the other one, for parking & tapping to pay eg at Watsons.

So if possible better to separate the eWallet & Cards.

Thanks again for your good suggestions. I'll leave the TnG eWallet as unverified. Hope the VEP tag Will be linked to the eWallet account soon.

Yes, it is mandatory if users want to enjoy full functions of Touch 'n Go eWallet (i.e. funds transfer) and higher limit (RM5000).

However, no eKYC is required for users with basic functions and lower limit (max of RM200)

For non MY, passport is required.

Even after Verification I can't use DuitNow (MY's PayNow) as it doesn't accept non MY Phone Number.

So don't waste time verifying your TnG account.

cos those doesn’t prove u have a current and valid driving license. Also ur license will state what class of vehicles u are allowed to drive with.

Recently applied for VEP and just received approval this morning. But seems like there are a few issues linking it with TnG eWallet, so better play safe and useTnG card instead. Can just ignore the collection of VEP tag for now right?

I had one TnG eWallet account validated with passport ID. After wrote to TnG careline, got reply "Please be informed we have updated your passport and National ID details in our system. When you log into your account will be only able to view your passport details.".. Not sure if VEP tag will link up soon...

* Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LDP)

* Shah Alam Expressway (KESAS)

* SMART Expressway

* New Pantai Expressway (NPE)

* Sungai Besi Expressway (BESRAYA)

Ampang-Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (AKLEH), Guthrie Corridor Expressway (GCE), Penang Bridge, and Butterworth-Kulim Expressway (BKE)... expect these remaining highways to implement their open payment system by this coming Friday, 1 September.

According to Prolintas, highway users can use their credit, debit and prepaid cards at the following toll plazas:

• Bukit Jelutong Toll Plaza,
• GCEE lmina Toll Plaza,
• GCEL agong Toll Plaza,
• GCED atuk Keramat Toll Plaza, AKLEH

GCE is the 10th highway that currently accepts credit, debit and prepaid cards for toll payments. Other highways include MEX, Sprint, LDP, KESAS, Smart Tunnel, NPE, BESRAYA and DUKE.

does anyone knows when driving and queuing at JB customs, how to identify the lane which has RFID to auto deduct the rm20+rm2.37 fee from TNG wallet?

sometimes it seems to auto deduct from my tng wallet and also tng physical card from tapping as well.

For those who have need to renew the VEP


Please be informed that the VEP RFID tag is unique for each vehicle with five years validity and it is "non-transferable”. Hence, the user would require to proceed with the deactivation process for the current VEP RFID tag before renew the VEP RFID Tag.


Please provide with the following documents in order to proceed with the de-activation process:

1. Copy NRIC of vehicle owner/representative as per registered ACRA [front and back]
2. Vehicle Registration Document issued by Land Transport Authority (LTA)
3. Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) [organisation only]

Remark:

*Supporting documents to be attached as 2 separate files in PDF format and within 1MB size.

*Do take note that this process will take some times. Your understanding and patience in this matter is highly appreciated.


To ensure a smooth deactivation process, user is require to provide the complete documents with the correct format. After received the notice of approval, please update and register your vehicle information in http://www.vep.jpj.gov.my.
