Thanks Ronleech for your info.

I drove in earlier and confirm as of today (8 Aug 2016) there is no VEP charges. In fact, I saw they put up the posters on the pillars before the counters about implementation of VEP n they state "COMING SOON".

I just received a message that VEP charging has started and cars not registered have to turn back. Anyone can confirm whether it's true?

What kind of message did you receive? Official letter/email from the MY authorities?

BTW, in case this has not been posted before, the barriers at the Immigration booths at Msia's Tuas CP are now down. One needs to tap the T&G sensor (the one I think would charge the VEP fee) before they are raised. But the charge is 0.00.

Went in through tuas last Friday. Have to tap touch and go card at the immigration point before the barrier lift. There's is no deduction.

Toll pay as usual at the plus booth down the road.

Edit : Sorry my mistake for wrong info. Actually paid rm0 for vep n normal toll charges. Din realise it was 0 n not 20. Coz of the new barrier system. Paiseh.
