I think as a general rule, when markets are down, overall sentiments are down. Maybe Gold and other precious metals might go up so, i believe diversifying also have certain amount of limitations.

As for the SDIC $75k, it is more of a protection against bank collapsing and does not have much protection if the currency drops due to other reasons,

Regardless of the kind of investment you are in, it is one way or another linked, be it S&P500, REITs, Funds, ETFs or even Bitcoin.

but those with deep wallets are those that are likely to win over time. So make the most while you can and choose your tools wisely. No right or wrong.

also most importantly, keep a certain amount of your investment liquid, this is so that you are agile to make certain investments rapidly OR some life emergencies that could happen.

Mari invest is one of the few which I do strongly recommend to my family and close friends because it is quite fast to get out and the returns are quite good as compared to savings account. Another one is the UOB one account, as it can give up to 5% interest.

Keep most of your savings in the new digital banks as much as possible as they give up to 2.88% savings account interest as compared to other banks.

Good post. Just to highlight UOB One need play game so in this aspect Mari Invest is better as of current. But be always prepared it can go down since it is a mutual fund underlying. Look at Fullerton Cash Fund it was the darling of last year but recently not doing so well in my context.

So with hindsight I am exploring Poems Smart Park after some reader share lobang.

The SGD Phillip money market fund management fee seems to be on the higher side, and they have 5.98% in China. I am not a pessimist on China, however I am guessing most it are in China banks? Not so sure about China banks at the moment.

While you need to do something to get the 5% from UOB One, it is also the simplest as compared with other similar multiplier account, deposit salary of at least $1.6k and spend $500 from their card. Of course to hit 5%, there is also a need to maintain $100k, which I told some of my other colleagues, to pool their savings with their spouse to hit that $100k to get the most out of it if they don't have it

I texted mari invest this is the reply

indeed , there is no returns today. Do note that the daily returns shown on the Maribank app correspond to the changes in market prices. You can view these price movements by following these steps: 1. Log in to the Maribank app. 2. Tap on Mari Invest. 3. Select the " SavePlus > " header. 4. Scroll down to find " Price Movement " As indicated by the data, market prices remained stable on 20th March. Generally, this could be due to various factors, such as a lack of significant news, low trading activity, or investors waiting for important events or data releases. It may also reflect market sentiment or uncertainty. Therefore, fluctuations like these are normal in the market.
