yes, markets been breaking all the academic theories past 2yrs. Gold behaving like risk-asset (e.g stocks) instead of safe haven/buffer. Bonds as well. Almost every asset moving in same direction (+ve correlation).

only exception recently is oil

If you use the previous bull run to 5k the speed is quite fast within days like US stocks so I believe semi-active monitoring is needed. I never thought gold works like stocks so scary.

IMO STI should reduce the 3 banks weightage. E.g I have all the other you mention so end of today my PL is green green color. But if I only look at STI not very green misleading for me.
