I forsee majority of the time will be spent at home. The difference in cost (200k at least) between mature and non mature estate can be saved for plenty of taxi trips!

True also. Haha. I'm aiming henderson which I do think it's very expensive. But it's in between my bf and my workplace. We each need only 10 min to reach work via mrt. Hehe.

the ratio for bukit merah not that high for 1st timer right? so means all first timer applicants will get a number? or is based on the overall ratio?

I believe those numbers are there to give false hope that you will get a good number. I believe first timer means two chance of getting a number, so the ratio there (1:5.3) just means 20% of the people will have double chance of drawing for a number.

So if you are first timer, you just draw for queue two times. But if both times you also sway (and more likely than not since the number of applicants are so high), you will also not get a queue number.

On the other hand, some other person gets lucky and get queue #10 on the first draw, then he/she will still do better than you even though not first timer.

Guy/Ladies, correct me if i'm wrong about this.

True true. That's one main reason I aim for a more centralised location as well. But it is truly a lot more expensive compared to those bto at punggol etc

Haha we have same thoughts too! Aiming to save on transport since both of partner and I work at raffles place. Hopefully all of us can be "future neighbours". Best of luck!! :)
