Me! Trying for Whampoa as first timers, after getting a lousy queue number for the recent SOBF.

I would suppose ard last week of the month?

Kallang/Whampoa wld be popular, hence my dilemma.

My gf & my top priority would be to have a successful ballot (either Kallang/Whampoa or Punggol). Although location will be secondary priority, our preference would be Kallang/Whampoa (the site nearer to Sikh temple & Boon Keng MRT) followed by Sengkang.

Here's our 'dilemma' when evaluating our chances of a successful ballot:

Kallang/Whampoa (KW):
Pros - This site is within 2km of my gf's mother house, hence as 1st time applicants, we would have 4 chances under MCPS.
Cons - Mature estate in a good location would definitely see stiffer 'competition' among applicants.

Sengkang (SK):
Pros - Non mature estate & relatively less ideal location as compared to KW, hence competition would relatively less intense.
Cons - Not within 2km of our parents so we only have 2 chances as 1st time applicants (which is less than the 4 chances we would have with KW).

Bearing in mind that our top priority is to have a successful ballot with either these 2 sites (KW or SK), we are unsure of which site to go for.. sigh..

Come to think of it, anyone will consider punggol? Very ulu now but @ mywaterfront so may be stg exciting for the future? But from the map, it still look a distance to walk to the nearest LRT.. any views?

Interested... but how to participate? wat will be the price of 4 room flat in Kallang/Whampoa gonna be? 600K? Sengkang? 350K? how to afford?
