Choices differs... But I agree with you. Those with young children will not choose BL mainly due to environment.

I've noticed the same thing too. i was inclined to choose BL but looking at the layout of the rooms seems like MT is a better choice as living/dining seems bigger, and the masterbath seems nicer too and don't look cramped as the common bath. Now really having dilemma if we should go with MT, comfort over price? i think in the end comfort will play a big deciding factor.

looking at the pricing i must say i am really disappointed.

of course most people will go for MT since the pricing is not much different with BL.

i thot BL will be significantly cheaper but i am so wrong.

Usually for BTOs that are 40 storeys high, the duration for construction is 4-5 years. I think this is because they need more time to do the piling. I rather wait than rush them. I have lived nearby both sites for the past 15 years and I've experienced 3 scary tremors from Indonesian earthquakes. So its best to give them more time to do a good job :o

If use 4 to 5 yrs to construct a 40 sty BTO, the contractor will go bust immediately. It shouldn't take more than 3.5 yrs.

Maybe they issue u queue no first bcos 899 is not far off from 823.. So in the case of a few dropouts u stand a chance to choose a unit.. If all 823 units all taken before ur appt date, they will send update to ur hdb homepage asking u no need come for appt?

That's what I guess ba..
