Correct me if i am wrong.
For the above 30 part. That is ture only if you loan from bank.

The officer told me that for bank loan you have to pay 5% downpayment in cash no matter which age group you are in. As for HDB loan, the 5% downpayment in cash only apply if both the couple above 30 yrs old. To make sure you can call and check in case i heard wrongly. For my case taking bank loan so was told to pay the 5% cash within 4-6mths time.

I am going for 4 room. I would prefer BL , but am also ok with MT.
Presenty I am staying in level 7. So anything higher than 7 is ok for me. But again would prefer as high as possible. But I guess a bagger can't be too choosy. But most important is not too have afternoon sun. Anyway I will wait till the final week to decide if I am taking up a unit.

By the way, my number is 80x. What's yours?

Haha. Just call up too. And was told:


if you take up a bank loan with out any existing housing loan. You will need to pay 5% by cash plus 15% cpf.
If you are taking up a bank loan with existing housing loan. You will need 10% by cash and 10% CPF.
If you are taking HDB loan with/without existing housing loan. You will need only to pay 10% by cpf.

this is correct.... no need cash if have enough CPF for the 10% no matter which age grp you are in.

I feel the same way as you too and our numbers are very close. I'll definitely take an unit out of the leftover. The location is too good to pass.

With about 20% drop out rate. Guess we can get somewhere around level 8. Good luck.

I thought all HDB estate are quiet in the middle of the night unless got night life there lolz. Anyway I take it that the 'night life' area that is nearby BL arn't that noisy in the middle of the night, thats a relief.



Is the direction printed on the HDB correct or different from yours?

total number of drop out 306 - 237 = 69
% drop out is 69/306 x100% = 22.55%

And base on the Ethnic Quota
Chinese : 537
Malay :186
Others : 91

If all remaining unit from tomorrow is selected by chinese the last q number before the ethnic Quota for chinese is reach would be 306 + 537 = 843.

And should there be no more drop out the q number will end @ 888+ 69 = 957

if there is no drop out and all is chinese from now on, last Q number is 327. based on drop out rate 32% and all is chinese from now on, the last Q number is 425.

1 unit taken out yest with 4 drop out. today another 5 selection

my selection on 17 sept so yeah less than 1 mth away but still got 200 Q before mine. so yeah i expect them to have massive selections over the weekends.

sometimes, the hdb officer allows you to select even thou u missed your selection date like funeral, emergency oversea trip and other valid reason, however you have to called in advanced to ask for permission. hence this explain the 12 selections thou 11 Qs
