Haha. Just call up too. And was told:

if you take up a bank loan with out any existing housing loan. You will need to pay 5% by cash plus 15% cpf.
If you are taking up a bank loan with existing housing loan. You will need 10% by cash and 10% CPF.
If you are taking HDB loan with/without existing housing loan. You will need only to pay 10% by cpf.

Ok maybe i heard wrongly.. sorry ya =:p

I hope the drop out rate to be reasonable e.g. 20% -30%

too high drop out rate may not seem good cos there could be a problem which affects majority of the people (including yourself) and in the end you may not get a unit at all.

u worried too much. any leftover will be given to sales of balance flat like those in yishun. nobody takes the balance flat in the bto even thou all Q numbers are called and all is taken up in march sales of balance flat.

the demand now is too high compared to the supply. that horse face has done a very bad job and cause so much shortage hence the jack up of flats price causing massive inflation and locking up future generations to working till they are pass 65 yo.

4 room.

Total unit :888
Unit still available : 644
Selection Q number : 317
total number of selected unit 888 - 644 = 244
total number of drop out 317 - 244 = 73
% drop out is 73/317 x100% = 23.03%

And base on the Ethnic Quota
Chinese : 532
Malay :186
Others : 89

If all remaining unit from tomorrow is selected by chinese the last q number before the ethnic Quota for chinese is reach would be 317 + 532 = 849.

And should there be no more drop out the q number will end @ 888+ 73 = 961

Just to check...understand that if one of the couple is below 30 yrs old, we can pay 5% + 5%. Is the first 5% during the selection date? When will be the second 5%?

The rest will be after we get the keys, right?

I am wondering if during the selection, they wipe out our CPF, does that means that for the second 5%, we need to pay in cash?

I am quite confused. Sorry, can anyone advise? Tks!

the second 5% will be during collections of key. normally for a bto take abt 3 years to complete. by that time you and ur spouse should build up enough cpf to clear the second 5%. If cpf not enough, you have to top up using cash.

HDB will proceed to build the flat even the dropout rate is more that 30%. The housing minister promised the nation to build 25000 unit of flat this year. He die die must come out with the figure. :s13:

They will wipe out your CPF when you collect your keys.

Eg. second 5% is $25,000. Even if you have $40,000 they will also wipe it out to reduce your loan required.

Why that khaw wanna mass build flats this year? because 2015/2016 completion date of these bto is the election time. if he screwed up this time pap may become opposition. even lose money also they will build more flats.

however i still advise you to vote pap out!
