How's the construction going? Anyone went and check?

Went there to recce last week, and they have started laying the big blocks of stones and those foundation irons. The mrt station is nearer than i initially thought.. just 2-3 blocks away with sheltered walkways. and god knows why, but i noticed bout 5-6 clinics near MRT. High rate of sick patients?? Haa...

Anyway, still long way to go... earliest key collection date advised by HDB is in 2nd half of 2016...

Yes, McNair towers. Got PAP childcare centre next block, those park jogging track at the sides, but carpark need to pay through gantry for those driving there.

So low birth rate also caused by government. No proper housing and force ppl to apply hse in advance. End up hse not ready and couple split liao.

called hdb recently and spoke to some staff about cement screeding. HDB has allready working on something.

Need to write in to appeal for cement screed for project launched before the new regulation kicked in. Your application if thru sobf also has to be before the regulation kick in in order to have a chance for hdb cement screed.

A few resident from my bto launched in May 2013 has already written in and got approval for hdb screed. But be prepared to push back ur actual renovation..

Can try but take note,

Regulation was announced in 2014 and was initially suppose to kick in on 1st Dec 2014 and got push back until 01 June 15..

So based on the above, they might not approve your case since it was announced way before ur application.

duckie, if you managed to get HDB to screed for you you got to take note of the quality of the work; especially how level is it and thickness based on the flooring you want to do up.

Ya, the thickness and levelness is something of an issue..

Only can appeal when near taking keys..Once approve and after key collection then go town council or the hdb hub handling ur area to fill up the form and pass them the keys..After that have to wait for 2-4 weeks before they call u up to schedule the screed..Then have to wait again for them to perform the actual work and pray one time swee swee..

Any defects u found during 1st inspection must be rectify and deal with before screed can proceed..

Have to see ur contractor but expected around $2.5k for 40mm thickness screed for 3br + living rm..

Side note for those going to use gas heater or hob, if your id/contractor knows the authorised citygas installer direct then ask them to arrange for you. But you need to go citygas online, purchase the gas heater u need(It would be charged to your utilities bill anyway) and then the next 1-2 days, citygas will call and then email you with the order confirmation number. With this then the pipe installer can proceed to do the installation. Back then no need, recent rules changes. If say u let Citygas to scheduled the piping for you, prepare to wait for at least 2-4 weeks.

One of my future neighbour went thru the long route while my contractor knows the boss of the installer so i just got the heater and order no, gas piping was fix 2 days later after i got the confirmation no. If i went with Citygas arrangement, would be around 2-3 weeks..
