What does this mean If I use cardup for insurance payment around 2K each month? I think cardup spending still valid for cash rebate?

Nope. CardUp is MCC 7399.

Only 600 of the 2000 spend counts. You need to find somewhere else to spend the other 1400.

It means:
For $500 tier, only $150 can be CardUp
For $1000 tier, only $300 can be CardUp
For $2000 tier, only $600 can be CardUp

Only 30% can be selected merchant, rest 70% must be general eligible spend. Otherwise you won’t hit required spend and you will not earn cashback for the whole quarter.

Is there any fee discount promo code for Maybank platinium visa card and cardup?
Initially Maybank was intending to extend the promo code but then later on they decided to remove it and further slap a huge nerf to limit CardUp to 30% of the eligible monthly spend. This card is dead now if you're using it solely for CardUp.
