Oh just saw the cap interest so even by doing so, $120k earns bonus interest. $80k earns 0.3125%. Forget it man.

For privileged saveup, I was thinking of opening 2 saveup accounts under 1 name, each put $100k. Three cat to hit:

1. Salary (account 1) / giro (account 2)
2. $800 spending (under same name so hit $800)
3. Deposits of $200k in aggregate

But since 1 person can only have 1 saveup, I dunno how to interpret the “deposit” criteria.

Read and read but can’t figure this out. Did I miss out something?

Means you put 200k in 1 deposit.

Then they shouldn’t put ALL saveup accounts with the SAME primary holder!

Annoying banks. 1.12% might as well put FD

They write it like that so that if they change their rule and allow multiple save up don't have to change document.....

Why do banks do such things?
Kept changing their terms and conditions, and making us do so much hard work, shifting our money here and there.

So far only CIMB has been consistent.

Already discussed in this thread. Note also salary crediting and giro no longer counted as 2 categories. Very tough to meet 3 criteria. Also no point to go for priviledge save up. Time to switch out.

I switched over to UOB - because easier to hit the criteria, and also easier to set up the 3 giros - UOB card payment, and IRAS payments.
