Maybank SaveUp requires min CC spending $500 while the cash rebate (3.3%) for CC to be used eg. Platinum Visa is for $300 only, right?

How do you guys manage the shortfall of $200 in between? thanks.

For CC spending part, the effective cash rebate is $30/(3x$500)=2% which seems quite low.

the 500 spending not only let you get rebate. it also qualifies as 1 of the 3 products you use to meet the higher interest rate (others like loans, insurance etc).

u can try to put some other fixed bills on the card as well. for me, normally no issue on meeting the minimum spend...

Yes, I am currently doing so and it works. You need to indicate in your GIRO transfer with words like SAL or SALARY.
Dont ask me why but the manager told me so.

I'm with Trazora. Tried it (filled up Giro form to transfer $300 to CIMB account monthly). Doesn't work.

I pay my phone,internet bill,insurance,tax,utility bills thru giro n cc..salary has to be direct to bank no 3rd party..cc got extra $30 rebate every quarter if every mth min spend hit..
