Hi guys,

im currently using AC3200 in my living room. Im using a AC56 router as a media bridge in my room. Would like to check if AC56 using 5Ghz with a link rate of about 700mbps is it the best i can get the connection between the both routers? or is there a better way to connect both together?

Link rate is dependent on distance, channel, noise and interference. As ac56s/u is a 2x2 wireless router, it's maximum speed is only 866 in an ideal environment. As long as there's one wall in between, you won't get 866 already.. or rather, 866 is more for the line of sight unblocked.

i see.. so i supposed im getting quite an efficient connection already..

another question, through the asus 56u, i went to speed test and i'm only getting about 200mpbs dl and 300mpbs ul. is this normal? im using a cat 6 cable from the router to my desktop. 1gb fibre from ST.

I just got this router.

The 1st 5GHz able to connect with internet. But 2nd 5GHz able to connect to router but do not have internet?

Any advise?

Both the 1st & 2nd 5GZ have the same settings.

Wireless Mode,Control Channel & Extension Channel are set to auto already.

Anything i am missing?

Just got a set of AC3200. Any kind soul can tell me any faster way to transfer all my saved profile or setting in AC68 to the new router?

it is not recommended to transfer settings between different models..

How about transferring the Asus DDNS from old to new. I am trying to keep the original name for all port forwarding.

It's mean nothing wrong with your Router and it's your client only can support lower channel.
