Go to support site and download latest firmware and install.

I updated to the latest firmware 3.0.0.4378 last night but Aidisk is still not working. It still gives me the same error message "Illegel IP Address!", even when I entered test.asuscomm.com (which is the example given in the user manual).

Does this Aidisk work at all? Or should I sit and wait for a future firmware before trying it again?

Should not be that problem. This is the first time I use AiDisk. Both the router and the hard disk are brand new.

Don't know what happened. It just wouldn't get through the create domain name stage.

I downloaded from Asus website last night, version is 3.0.0.4.378_5134. Is that not new?

Anyway I will download from the link you provided and try again tomorrow.

I'm not from Singapore, I'm from Argentina, I'm using "Fibertel" .com.ar.
I had no trouble with the ASUS DDNS for years, and previous versions are able to register my device (rolled back and works on 5134), so I'm thinking maybe the address changed and for some reason my area is unable to reach it.
Is ther any area restriction applied to servers used on this version for ASUS DDNS?

UPDATE: It was my ISP's fault after doing a tracert it was stopping there. contacted them and solved it. Thanks!

After the upgrade for the 5134, my dlna server is not recognizing the entire contents of the hard drive connected to the router's USB, all content is ok from ftp, only a small amount of the content is displayed in dnla.

Tested with 5587 beta without sucess.

After downgrade for 4950 works fine again.

Yes, several hardresets but does not recognize all content from the hard disk. Content is recognized immediately after returning to the 4950 version.

Just updated to 5587 with hard reset. The login page interface looks nice.
Hopefully the normal page could be revamped soon

I had problems flashing to 5587 after i flashed it then pressed the reset button.

Took a while to get it to recovery mode and re-flashing it with the Rescue.exe tool provided on the cd that came with the rt-87u

happy to report after tweaking the control channel to channel 1 for the 2.4ghz band and 149 for the 5ghz, the wifi now reaches my room and my maid's room like the rt-n66u used to do.

yesterday when I turned off the rt-n66u my maid's iphone 4 could not even connect to the ac-87u when the router was on version 3.0.0.4_378_5134. I came home in the evening to flash version 3.0.0.4_378_5587.
