Roy, what's your view on costar and cherry stabilizers?

I prefet costar stab over cherry instead. Cause the way these 2 feels different.

The cherry feels a little mushy. When fully depressed it has this strong firm springy feel.

Costar is a little lighter than usual. And it has this small "shaky" feel when you depress it. And it springs up with a "springy" sound.

For me it feels good to have costar stabs instead. Kinda like the springy feedback sound.

Nice... similar to my views...

I'm torn between costar, LED (RGB preferably), MX switches (red/brown) and macro keys (would be good to have, and non-floating keys layout... couldn't find one that fits all the criterias...

I'm starting to miss the filco MJ2 brown I gave to gf... :s13:

Last I knew you were eyeing on the white filco  while keeping your options open

Actually can do away with macros... :s13:

And from what I understand, MX switches for single-colored LED and RGB are different? I recalled this from some online articles....

None that you mentioned is a real mechanical keyboard.

You have been asking a lot since a few days back. Why dont you just grab something that you think you are comfortable to buy? Something like all the keyboards you have mentioned are all cheap keyboards. Why not just buy and try?

Lastly when we are talking about mechanical keyboards, i dont think you are wven looking at the correct things. Why not take a trip down to sim lim square and take a good look at all the REAL mechanical keyboards at shops like cybermind, xtreme solutions, techdome, or pc themes?

Ya loh. Im still keeping it open. The filco hakua white really make me tempted.

Actually i really love leds. Need not be rgb. Just single white will do. Not sure how they are build against the rgb type. I have yet to open it up yet. But if i do have a chance then i would probably understand more.

Those with cherry stabalizers but find it mushy can consider clipping them, I find the feel of a clipped cherry stabalizer better than costar stabalizers, not a fan of the metallic springy feel and sound it gives. :D

Almost all kb makers uses ABS keycaps so as to reduce costs. It will get shiny and fade off over long usage.

I would say most kb users will consider to change to PBT as it is long lasting, will not fade and will not get shiny. Only downside is that it is expensive. The common type to get is doubleshot whereby the letters are in one cast and the keycap shell is layered on top, hence doubleshot.

How sure are you that they are mech kb? Dun be naive and believe into their marketing. If they advertise that the mech kb can save your electricity bills, will you believe?

There are only a handful of brands that manufacture real mech kbs and none are stated in your links.

A real mech kb listing will state the keys that they are using. For example, this filco mech kb, http://www.lazada.sg/filco-majestouch-2-ninja-blue-switch-6936905.html, they state that they are using cherry MX blue. And Filco is a legit mech kb maker.

Pretty sure none are real mechanical keyboards... at those prices, it's quite impossible. And as the saying goes, "pay sh*t and get sh*t". You better be off saving up a little bit more and get a proper mech keyboard instead.
