Thanks for sharing that even if the ads indicate mechanical keyboard, it may not be mechanical keyboard although it looks like it from the photo, the only way to know is if the ads indicate if it is red quiet switch or blue noisy switch. I will search online again. ;)

what's a good mech KB to replace my 7 years old filco majestouch 2?

it is starting to cause multiple entry per press.

assuming you are using Windows, did you check your keyboard setting? Check Repeat delay and Repeat rate and adjust them more to the left side. ;)

They are using ABS plastic. So "normally" people whom bought Filco will just change the keycaps to PBT.

I am getting flare-up with my faded original keycaps liao, cannot see already and I can't buy those taobao fanciful PBT as I have the 108 Japanese keys. :o

KeyboardCompany is selling Filco double shot full replacement keycaps £39 + £10 shipping = SGD90. Expensive can buy bo?

There is a few ways to go about it.

The Filco Ninja model comes with a side printed keycaps. Hence it should not fade away by excessive usage.

Another way is buying from Taobao. There are plenty of PBT keycaps. Ranging from $20 all the way to $140.

I got the Filco Majestouch Convertible 2 108 JP keys version so a lot of Taobao PBT keycaps cannot fit unless I dun change those weird and extra caps from the 104 keys one.

Hence I can only buy the full doubleshots replacement from Filco, this will also replace those "abnormal" layout like "Enter", "Spacebar" and "Shift".

Just need to spend $90 for the replacement. :s22:

For
Gaming, no noise = red
Typing, noisy =blue
Gaming + Typing, some noise=brown

I choose Red cos i game more.

Red is also faster as it has less actuation force

No such thing as red switches are for gaming, blue for typing. It's all up to personal preference.
