I had made some pants at Giant IMM. It is like a 'private' tailor. Not too bad. 3 pants for $120. The price is depending on the material used.

Ask u all ya. Where is a good place to custom tailor office wear long sleeve shirts and pants?

Coz those off the racks smallest sz15 is still too big for me, and pants 28 also same... :(

What are the pts i should take note when making shirts / pants?
What professional terms i should tell the tailor so that the end products wont like very lkk?

generally these are the measurements tailor will take for shirt:

1) the length of the shirt in front

2) the length of the shirt at the back

3) chest circumference at the point where the arm hole joins the torso.

4) stomach circumference at the middle of the shirt where it tapers to its narrowest.

5) hips circumference at the bottom of the shirt at the highest point of the tails and once again, the front half and the back half should be taken seperately

6) shoulder width from where the shoulder and sleeve seams join on one side to the other

7) sleeve length from the point where shoulder and sleeve join to the lowest edge of the cuffs

8) neck circumference from center of button to center of button hole.

9) Cuff circumference from center of button to center of button hole as well as from one outer edge of the cuff to the other outer edge of the cuff.

10) The height of the cuffs

11) The length of the collar points in front, the height of the collar at the back and the height of the collar band in the front and in the back.

12) The width of the back yoke where the joint across the back joins from one arm to the other

13) The under arm length where the armhole and chest join to the edge of the cuff under the sleeves.

14) The distance of collar and first button and the distance of first and second button and the total number of buttons on the shirt.

15) The style of the collar and the cuffs.

shirts and pants can be tailored for about $60 each. Not really that expensive if you're considering something made of good material + its made to fit you.

Turned out not bad at all. I tailored a pants there for $55 too. (wool).

Very hard for me to wear off the shelf clothings anymore, will feel kinda awkward.

I tailored another shirt from personality, collecting tonight! :)

Got a question for those of you who tailor shirts...I happen to have a shirt which fits me almost perfectly. If I bring that shirt to the tailor and tell them to follow its dimensions to tailor several more shirts it should be ok right? Anyone can recommend some tailors which are good? Peninsula Shopping Centre seems to have some good tailors at the basement, but don't know which to go for...

Well for me it seems wrinke free, does require some light ironing after a 4,5 days though. But by then you'll be washing it. :) (Personal opinion to how wrinkle is considered wrinkled)

Curious how long does it take to get your shirt done? I mean waiting time?
Personality is the shop you went to get your 3 shirt and pants done?

Thanks! Hope to get some shirt done fast... :)

Personality takes about 2weeks. Should be quite standard for them cause according to the boss, they do all the shirts in-house, no outsourcing etc.

It varies from tailor to tailor how long it takes, some can do it as fast as 2days to 2weeks etc.

Nope 3shirts and 1 pants from another tailor.

Had another shirt from personality.
